Wir leben in einer schönen Doppelhaushälfte, die sich über vier Stockwerke erstreckt. Das Zimmer liegt im Erdgeschoss der WG auf der gleichen Ebene wie Wohnzimmer und Küche. Es ist ca. 12m^2 groß, hat eine eingebaute Hochebene auf der bisher das Bett lag (du kannst dir überlegen, ob du sie gerne behalten willst) und es ist nach Norden ausgerichtet. Das Zimmer ist überschaubar, da wir allerdings in einem Haus leben, gibt es mehrere Orte, an denen man gut Zeit verbringen kann, wie den Innenhof oder das Wohnzimmer! Das Zimmer ist das einzige in der Haushälfte, in der auch die Küche + Wohnzimmer ist - deswegen kann es manchmal etwas trubeliger vor deiner Tür zugehen. Darauf wird in der WG allerdings sehr viel Rücksicht genommen und wir geben alle unser bestes, jeder Person ihren Ruhe-und Rückzugsort zu schaffen.
Neben Wohn-/Esszimmer und Balkon ist vor allem der Hinterhof, besonders im Sommer ein zentraler Punkt unseres Zusammenwohnens. Dort pflanzen wir ein bisschen Gemüse an, Essen, Grillen oder schauen Filme auf der Leinwand. Wir haben drei Bäder (zwei davon mit Badewanne) und einen Keller mit jeder Menge Stauraum. Falls du ein Auto besitzt, gibt es einen kostenlosen Stellplatz und davon abgesehen kostenfreies Parken in der Straße. Ein Highlight der WG ist neben der kleinen Werkstatt unsere Sauna, auf die wir uns besonders im Winter freuen und wo wir meist einmal wöchentlich zum Saunaabend einladen. Wir nutzen als WG auch eine Garten-Parzelle ganz in der Nähe von unserem Haus, wo wir mit Nachbar*innen etwas Gartengemüse anbauen.

We live in a beautiful semi-detached house, which extends over three and a half floors. The room is located on the first floor of the shared apartment on the same level as the living room and kitchen. It is about 12m^2, has a built-in plateau where the bed used to be (you can think about whether you'd like to keep it) and it faces north. The room is nothing special, however, since we live in a house, there are several places where you can spend time, such as the courtyard or the living room! The room is the only one in the half of the house that also has the kitchen + living room - so it can sometimes get a bit lively outside your door. However, a lot of consideration is given to this in the shared flat and we all do our best to create a quiet and private space for each person.
Besides the living/dining room and balcony, the backyard is a central point of our living together, especially in the summer. That's where we grow some vegetables, eat, barbecue or watch movies on the screen. We have three bathrooms (two of them with bathtubs) and a basement with lots of storage space. If you own a car, there is a free parking space and apart from that free parking in the street. A highlight of the WG, besides the small workshop, is our sauna, which we especially look forward to in the winter and where we do sauna-evenings once a week. Together, we also use a garden plot 2 min walking from our house, where we try to grow some vegetables.

Die Lage des Haus ist wirklich gut. In 5 Minuten bist du zu Fuß im Paradiespark und an der Saale. In 3 Minuten bist du an der Straßenbahnstelle, welche dich entweder ins Stadtzentrum oder nach Winzerla bringt.
In 15 Minuten bist du zu Fuß an der Hochschule oder der Uni und in 12 Minuten am Westbahnhof und Paradiesbahnhof. Die Nachbarschaft ist in weiten Teilen super herzlich und wirkt manchmal fast dörflich, sodass man manchmal vergisst, dass man sich noch immer in Jena befindet.
The location of the housed is really good. In 5 minutes you can walk to the Paradiespark and the river Saale. In 3 minutes you are at the streetcar station (Mühlenstraße), which takes you either to the city center or to Winzerla.
In 15 minutes you can walk to the university and in 12 minutes to the Westbahnhof and Paradiesbahnhof. The neighborhood is in large parts super warm and sometimes seems almost village-like, so you sometimes forget that you are still in Jena.

Im Moment leben hier vier Männer und drei Frauen. Wir suchen explizit eine Frau bzw. FINTA (Frau, Inter, Non-binär, Trans-, oder A-Gender) Person für unsere WG. Wir haben alle unterschiedliche Interessen, wie Musik machen, wandern, skaten, etc., und sind teilweise in politischen Initiativen aktiv. Wir gehen allen unterschiedlichen Dingen nach (Studium, Lohnarbeit, irgendwo dazwischen oder sonst wo). Uns verbindet das gemeinsame Wohnen. Wir leben recht gemeinschaftlich zusammen - so teilen wir zum Beispiel alle Essenseinkäufe, kochen für- oder miteinander und unternehmen auch in unserer Freizeit sehr gerne etwas miteinander. Dass mal wirklich alle 8 um einen Tisch versammelt sind, passiert eher selten, alleine sein aber noch seltener!
Der Großteil der WG ernährt sich vegetarisch oder vegan, da wir oft zusammen kochen, wäre es super, wenn du kein Problem damit hast, in der WG nur vegan und vegetarisch zu essen.
Uns ist ein zu Hause wichtig, in dem sich alle wohlfühlen. Darum versuchen wir möglichst einen Ort zu schaffen, in dem Dinge wie Rassismus, Sexismus und andere Formen der Diskriminierung keinen Platz haben.

At the moment, four men and three women live here. We are explicitly looking for a woman or FINTA (woman, inter, non-binary, trans, or A-gender) person for our shared flat. We all have different interests, like making music, hiking, skating, sewing etc., and we are partly acrive in political initiatives. We all do different things (study, paid work, somewhere in between, or whatever). What we have in common is living together. We live together quite communally - for example, we share all the food shopping, cook for or with each other and always do something together in our free time. It rarely happens that all 8 of us are gathered around one table, but being alone is even rarer!
The majority of the flat-sharing community eats a vegetarian or vegan diet, and since we often cook together, it would be great if you don't have a problem eating only vegan and vegetarian food in the WG.
It is important for us to have a home where everyone feels comfortable. That's why we try to create a place where things like racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination have no place.
