Zimmer frei im Löbtauer Hausprojekt WUMS

Löbtau ist zwar nicht die Neustadt, aber ein sehr schöner und aktiver Kiez. Es gibt mit dem Rosenwerk, Umsonstladen, regelmäßigen Küfas und anderen Veranstaltungen Programm und Raum zur Selbstgestaltung.
Direkt vorm Haus befindet sich ein kleiner Park mit Tischtennisplatte und Volleyballfeld in dem wir häufig abhängen und mit Plaunschem Grund oder Zschoner Grund (inkl Naturbad) auch schöne Natur in Fahrradreichweite.
Nächste Straßenbahnhaltestelle und Einkaufsmöglichkeit 3 min zu Fuß,
Uni in 10min mit Fahrrad oder ÖPNV erreichbar, Neustadt in 20-30min.

Löbtau may not be Neustadt, but it is a very beautiful and active neighbourhood. With the Rosenwerk, free shop, regular Küfas and other events, there is a programme and space for self-organisation.
There is a small park right in front of the house with a table tennis table and volleyball court where we often hang out, and with Plaunschem Grund or Zschoner Grund (including a natural swimming pool) there is also beautiful nature within cycling distance.
The nearest tram stop and shopping facilities are a 3-minute walk away,
university can be reached in 10 minutes by bike or public transport, Neustadt in 20-30 minutes.

Auch wenn das Haus aus 4 einzelnen WGs besteht, die viele Dinge wie Einkauf, Putzplan etc. unter sich regeln, sind wir trotzdem eine Hausgemeinschaft und versuchen unser Zusammenleben gemeinschaftlich und möglichst hierarchiearm und diskriminierungsfrei zu gestalten. Es wird sich viel zwischen den Etagen ausgetauscht, für Unternehmungen innerhalb und außerhalb des Hauses verabredet, gemeinsam in unserem Garten am Lagerfeuer oder im Park nebenan herumgehangen, Partys in unserem Keller und Garten oder gemeinsame Filmabende organisiert etc. Aber wenn du mal deine Ruhe brauchst ist das genauso okay und dein Zimmer bleibt immer dein eigener Rückzugsraum.

Wir als WUMS sind Teil des Mietshäuser-Syndikats (https://www.syndikat.org/). Das bedeutet ganz kurz zusammengefasst, dass das Haus den darin wohnenden Menschen gemeinschaftlich gehört. Wir sind also unsere eigenen Vermieter:innen und übernehmen deshalb auch alle Aufgaben, die damit verbunden sind selbst. Das hat den Vorteil, dass wir viele Dinge selbst entscheiden und gestalten können, ist aber auch viel Arbeit. Auch von zukünftigen Mitbewohnis würden wir uns wünschen, dass sie sich aktiv im Haus mit einbringen, denn nur so kann Selbstverwaltung funktionieren. Aber keine Sorge, zu wirst nicht mit Einzug sofort einen Haufen Aufgaben aufgebrummt bekommen, sondern mensch kann da langsam reinwachsen.
Einmal in der Woche treffen wir uns zum Hausplenum um zu besprechen, was gerade zu tun ist, wie wir die anfallenden Aufgaben verteilen oder ob Menschen bei ihren Aufgaben Unterstützung brauchen.

Even though the house consists of 4 individual flatshares, which organise many things such as shopping, cleaning schedules etc. among themselves, we are still a house community and try to live together as a community with as little hierarchy and as little discrimination as possible. We talk a lot between the floors, arrange things to do inside and outside the house, hang out together in our garden around the campfire or in the park next door, organise parties in our cellar and garden or joint film evenings, and so on. But if you need some peace and quiet, that's just as okay and your room always remains your own retreat.

As WUMS, we are part of the Tenement Syndicate (https://www.syndikat.org/). In a nutshell, this means that the house belongs to the people who live in it. In other words, we are our own landlords and therefore take on all the associated tasks ourselves. This has the advantage that we can decide and organise many things ourselves, but it is also a lot of work. We would also like future flatmates to play an active role in the house, as this is the only way self-administration can work. But don't worry, you won't be given a load of tasks as soon as you move in; you can grow into them slowly.
Once a week, we meet in the house plenum to discuss what needs to be done, how we can distribute the tasks that arise or whether people need support with their tasks.

Die Situation ist aus zwei Gründen momentan besonders:
Wir sind gerade in den Endzügen unserer Baustelle. Unser Dach wurde erneuert und im Zuge dessen gestalten wir auch unseren gemütlichen Dachboden, der sonst oft als Wohnzimmer, zum Filmschauen oder für gemeinsames Lernen und Arbeiten genutzt wird, noch gemütlicher.
Deshalb ist es zur Zeit noch manchmal etwas lauter und trubeliger und es gibt ein paar mehr Aufgaben als sonst. Aber das ist nur ein vorübergehender Zustand und wird noch vorm Sommer fertig sein.

Außerdem werden bei uns, wie oben erwähnt, mehrere Zimmer in unterschiedlichen WGs frei. Weil es schwierig ist, so viele Leute für ein gegenseitiges Kennenlernen auf einen Haufen zu bekommen, würden wir dir bei Interesse anbieten, mal für eine Woche bei uns Urlaub zu machen und in der Zeit die unterschiedlichen WGs und ihre menschlichen und tierischen Bewohner:innen (es gibt einen Hund und anderthalb Katzen) kennenzulernen. Falls sich das für dich nicht einrichten lässt, finden wir aber sicher auch einen anderen Weg.

Da wie gesagt gerade in mehreren Etagen Zimmer frei werden, beantworte bitte folgende Fragen, damit wir dich bestmöglich einer WG für ein Kennenlernen zuordnen können (wenn es dir dann doch in einer anderen Etage besser gefällt, ist das natürlich auch nicht in Stein gemeißelt)

1. Warum möchtest du in einem Wohnprojekt, wie dem WUMS leben?

2. Kannst du dir vorstellen mit einem Hund oder zwei Katzen in einer Wohnung zu leben?

3. Stört es dich, wenn Mitbewohner:innen von dir in ihren Zimmern rauchen?

4. Auf einer Skala von Erdgeschoss bis 3. Etage wo würdest du dich einordnen?

5. Wann könntest/möchtest du gerne bei uns einziehen?

Wenn du in deiner Nachricht gar nicht auf diese Fragen eingehst, werden wir dir nicht antworten.

We are currently in a bit of a special situation for two reasons:
Firstly, we're currently in the final stages of our construction project. Our roof has to be renovated and in the course of this we also want to make our cozy attic, which is usually often used as a living room, for watching films or for studying and working together, even more cozy.
That's why it's sometimes still a bit louder and busier at the moment and there are some more tasks than usual. But this is only a temporary situation and is expected to be completed before the summer.

Secondly, as mentioned above, we have several rooms in different shared flats becoming available. Because it is difficult to get so many people together to get to know each other, we would like to offer you the opportunity to spend a week's holiday with us and get to know the different shared flats and their human and animal residents (there is a dog and two cats). But if that's not possible for you, I'm sure we can find another way.

As rooms are currently becoming available on several floors, please answer the following questions so that we can assign you to the best flat share for an introductory meeting (if you like it better on another floor, this is of course not set in stone)

1. why do you want to live in a housing project like the WUMS?

2. can you imagine living in a flat with a dog or two cats?

3. does it bother you if your flatmates smoke in their rooms?

4. on a scale from ground floor to 3rd floor, where would you place yourself?

5. when could/would you like to move in with us?
