In order to qualify for a WBS, you must meet certain requirements, the most important of which is that the person signing the contract earns less than 1400 € net per month at the time of your application (it does not matter if you earn more after moving in). Non-EU students can get a WBS; EU students can get a WBS, if they do NOT qualify for BAFÖG.
Obtaining a WBS typically takes about 3 weeks. If you apply for a WBS now, you can receive it by the end of January, allowing you to move in by the end of February.
