The flat is a gorgeous, old-school Berliner worker flat. It is lovely in the sunlight, has beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, and enough space in the kitchen to sit and enjoy. I might be able to leave the washing machine for a while if that would be helpful. There is a piano at the moment, but I will be moving it soon enough. I would love to have someone nice in there to look after a space where I spent three very nice years.
But:
It is at the moment coal heated. Do you have experience with this? It can be lovely and romantic, but is also a pain in the ass in the winter sometimes. I have to arrange an appointment with the landlord, but they are planning to install central heating and it is already in progress. No promises whether it will be ready for this winter ;-)
The shower is not excellent. It is an older shower cabin, and you have to turn it on for about 20 minutes to heat up the water before you can shower. It works acceptably. This will change with the installation of central heating.
So, if you can deal with this (and please only write/call if you can, as I am busy!!!), the neighborhood is also fantastic with great Ubahn and tram connections, grocery stores, cafes, bookstores, and restaurants. The neighbors in the building are great, and it's a beautifully sunny flat. You're also quite close to A-platz and Mauerpark/Eberswalderstr.
I also have some furniture (a couple of tables) and some kitchen stuff I could leave there if you need it.
