The room available is the larger of the 2 main bedrooms, and is big enough for a bed, desk, wardrobe and couch/ television set up. It has two big, bright windows that enjoy sunlight during the day, and well into the evening during the summer months. During winter is is warm and well heated. The ceilings are approximately 3M high, and the floors are hardwood.
The room is fully furnished.
The apartment is a 2 minute walk from Savignyplatz S-bahn station, and about 400 meters from Savignyplatz itself. This is a very nice, clean, expensive part of the city west. Despite this, there are all sorts of nice food and bar options around, from cheap to expensive. There are also several very convenient supermarkets (including Ullrich Zoologischergarten, open on Sundays).
I am your fellow renter/ the lease holder for the whole apartment. I am Australian and living in Berlin for the last 5 years with my own startup company here. I am very friendly, I like to cook and am always social. I also try to be considerate of everyone's personal space. I travel for work and am normally away every couple of weeks, and am also usually out and about 1-2 nights each week/ weekend.
There is a small 3rd bedroom that I do not usually rent out, however at present a friend is staying in this room, while he searches for his own apartment. He will be staying for the next ~2 months. The apartment has plenty of space, so this should not be an issue for anyone happy with a WG.
The apartment is currently offered on a short term contract, but the right person will be welcome to stay longer.
A few last points:
1. I am looking for someone who works outside of the apartment - a few work from home days are of course fine (the new norm), but I do not want someone who is WFH full time, and therefore always in the apartment.
2. I am looking for someone who is clean in the common areas, and happy to do their part to keep the apartment in a nice condition.
3. I am accepting of everyone and anyone, so long as we avoid the extremes. I am looking for someone of the same mindset. Also - All expats are welcome!
If you are interested, let's have a first call or video call, and if we get along we can therefore arrange a viewing of the apartment.
