Hello. I am returning home after one year in Berlin. I am looking for a young person to take over my room as soon as possible (First week of March or so). The room is truly so beautiful. The old dark wooden floors are nice, with the high ceilings, make it feel like a very unique flat. The location is also quite spectacular. As soon as you walk outside the door there are hundreds of great restaurants, bars, 3 supermarkets (REWE, Bio, Lidl), and Schlesishes Tor is only a 4 minute walk away. That can get you pretty much anywhere relatively quick. Also, Görlitzer Park is just one block away.
I live with a young women, who is in her early 20s. She studies in Uni and is a enthused cook. She is great to have a chat or a cigarette. Talking and hanging out is always welcomed but staying in your room is definitely understood.
Basically the location and the room itself are very nice. If you are looking to live in a active and exciting part of Berlin (like literally directly in the middle of it on Wrangelstr.) and you want a large, spacious old room that is undeniably beautiful), this place is great. There are a few downsides. One, the kitchen is located in the corridor. Landlord wants to make as much money as possible, so he put the kitchen stuff in the corridor. We have made very nice use of it, but still not having an actual kitchen room is disappointing (if you enjoy cooking). In addition, the shower is fine, but hot water only lasts for five minutes or so.
There is also furniture in the room that I hope whoever rents will buy.
The bed and bed frame is from IKEA. It is incredibly incredibly comfortable and only one year old. When I moved in, the wooden benches and glass table and two desks were already here from the last person, and I paid her for all the stuff (desks, table, benches, clothes hanger, etc). Please contact only if you are able to take on at least some of the items in the room.
Included with all the furniture is a record and player, receiver and speakers. This too will also have a small price.
