Hallo!
Aron

Hey there!
Since I’ll move out by the end of the month, my spacious and beautiful room will be free for two months:) It’s about 27m^2 and has a lot of windows through one of which you can access the balcony. It’s quite a typical Berlin Altbau room with hardwood floor, high ceilings etc. The rent of 400€ already includes everything.
The room is facing Hermannstraße though, so you shouldn’t be too sensitive when it comes to street noise.
The flat is located right on the corner of Schillerkiez, meaning you have both a lively neighbourhood and a lot of parks including Tempelhofer Feld just around the corner. The next metro station (U8, Leinestraße) isn’t far either and there’s basically everything you might need in walking distance:)
Your possible flatmates:
Carina (31) is a social worker, likes to go on trips to the nature, is always looking for partners for any sports that are played with a racket and likes to take care of the plants in the flat and on the balcony.
Edib (38) is an engineer who currently delivers pizza with his bike (yes, there may be occasional benefits for you haha). He likes to do a lot of sports and trips into nature as well.
Palak (29) is about to finish her studies, is interested in sustainability, saves food and is also a plant lover.
Lili (23) is Edib’s sublet until the end of September since he is spending the summer in Croatia. She studies in Salzburg and is here for an internship. So, around half the time of your stay, Lili would leave and Edib would show up again:)
We mostly talk English in the flat, so this shouldn’t be a problem for you. Also, it is an overall rather quiet and clean place, we have a cleaning schedule and everyone is a bit past the party phase. It’s a non-smoking apartment, also on the balcony, and you should be kind of vegetarian, at least at home:)
My move is quite spontaneous and all my flatmates are currently on vacation, so we decided that I will look for a 2 month sublet, giving them time to look for a long term roommate when everyone is back. Of course, if things go well, there might be an option for you to stay long term, but you should expect to stay only for 2 months.
Since I move, I will take (almost) all of my things. This means the room will be sparsely furnished. There will be a handful of things though: A couch which can be transformed into a bed (I’ve slept on it for a couple of weeks and it was totally fine, might only be a bit uncomfortable if you’re exceptionally tall), a desk and a chair, an armchair and maybe a few shelves. So the room is not exactly going to be tastefully decorated but it should be possible to live here without a lot of extra furniture:)
Since this part is important, please start your message with your shoe size so I know you actually read this (any other similar random fact about you is also fine if you are sensitive about this one haha).
I am mostly in Berlin in August working from home, so you could come around in person for a visit. If you’re not in town, we can also do a zoom meeting. If I think that everything’s fine my flatmates would also like to have a quick talk with you via zoom:)
Looking forward to hear from you!
Aron
