Hi everyone,
A nice room in a WG/shared flat (4 flatmates altogether, fully *non-smoking*, no pets) will be available for *one month* (this June, from the 1st to the last day of the month) to a new *temporary* tenant (man or woman).
The room's surface is 18m2. It has nice wooden floorboards, a high ceiling and is oriented over the Danziger Straße to the south.
Its new long-term tenant will move in right afterwards, its previous tenant has just moved out.
In the meantime it will be minimally but functionally furnished during your stay (unless you prefer to bring your own furniture):
Mattress+pillow+bed sheets / Table+chair / Lamps / Curtains / Shelves / Towels
You can personalize the place as you wish.
The flat is located in a typical Berliner old building right in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg: renovated in the 90's, neither luxurious nor run-down, it's spacious and very pleasant to live in.
Our kitchen and our bathroom are fully equipped and you'll have plenty of space to store you own stuff.
Please requests only from people willing to rent for the whole month, not for just a few days/weeks!
We are very well connected to the whole city:
The flat is located 300m from the junction of Danziger Str. & Greifswalder Str, where the tram lines 4 and 10 each have a station. You're also in less than 10 min by foot to the Ringbahn (station S-Greifswalder).
A supermarket is just around the corner, all sorts of shops are nearby, and the park Volkspark Friedrichshain isn't far. You can reach Alexanderplatz in 10 min by bike or by tram.
We are usually 2 women & 2 men, ranging from 30 to 44 year old.
Our flat is strictly non-smoking (including no incense). Pets are also not allowed.
Our flat is intended as a very quiet home for people who identify as adults... We are all independent, autonomous and live our own lives. Friendliness, respect, cleanliness and responsibility are expected from each flatmate.
We are a "Zweck-WG": While spontaneously having a good chat over a coffee in the kitchen is always nice, we do *not* organize regular group activities (like going out, cooking together, parties or games) and we're not looking in a shared flat for a communal life where people intentionally spend plenty of time together: If a tight community is what you're looking for, other places are more suited for you.
Even as a temporary tenant, you'll be considered as a flatmate. Please do understand that we're not an Airbnb, a hotel or a hostel: we have to at least like/respect each others and it goes without saying that people are expected to be able to look after themselves, and to need no convincing regarding cleanliness, quietness, basic order and respect for the personal boundaries of others ;-)
We're otherwise a mixed international/German flat and normally use German as a common language. But we'll be perfectly fine if you can only converse in English.
Please be vaccinated against Covid!
I (the flat's main tenant) am looking forward to reading messages from people between 21 and 49 year old who could write a bit about themselves and who'd have time very soon to come by for a chat, so that I/we get to know each others and see if it matches.

PS: a FAQ:
- If this ad is still active, then the place is still available.
- I'm looking for one tenant only. Please no couples, groups, siblings, families, etc.
- I'd prefer to avoid conversations per telephone, Skype, Zoom or the like. I'll favor candidates being able to meet face to face. Exceptions only in very rare cases.
- I receive a LOT of messages... I'll read them all, but I can only answer those I'm interested in meeting.
- Put another way: No answer means no interest. Please don't take it personally.
- I also seldom answer right after you wrote. It's not uncommon to have to wait a few days before hearing from me.
- Please don't write repeatedly if I didn't answer you or if you can't accept something that I've said. That certainly won't improve your chances...
- Messages not mentioning an age, or leaving the impression that the writer didn't actually read the ad (in particular those ignoring the fact that I'm looking only for a TEMPORARY tenant for one month only) will be obviously ignored.
