A comfortable, cozy room right in a two people shared flat;
You will find a green chair with a desk (not the most solid one you will see, but still, a desk for free), a Queen Size bed with 4 large storage drawers, a very large closet, a small table and a wonderful picture of a sunset somewhere in the world which you could optionally hang on the white walls of the room. The room’s window overlooks one of the internal courtyards of the building, and faces the sun quite often.
The rest of the flat consists of a recently renovated bathroom (including a bathtub and a washing machine) and a tiny but very effective kitchen with a large fridge, microwave, dishwasher and a number of other perks.
Honestly I enjoy cooking a lot and although the kitchen is not the biggest one you will find along your path is still pretty
decent and I manage to cook a lot of delicatessen there. Lastly there is the former living room which is my current room and Studio.
Right in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg, the flat is right in front one of the M2 Tram stations that will bring you to Alexanderplatz in under 10 minutes. We are also very close to the M10 Tram of Danziger Strasse covering the route from Hauptbanhof (Central Station) to Warschauer Straße. The closest S-Bahn is S Prenzlauer Alle (S41 & S42), just a few minutes away by Tram and the U-Bahn would be Senefelder Platz.
This part of the neighbourhood is super calm and chill although pretty close to touristic attractions such as Kate Köllwitz Kiez, the Kulturbrauerei, Mauerpark and Eberswalder Straße, it is still very residential and very well connected to the rest of the city, super close to LIDL, Edeka, Netto and a number of bars and restaurants. I really like it here
My flatmate is leaving soon and I’m looking for someone nice to take over his room for the rest of our stay in the flat (until 1st of February 2024)
a little bit about myself then:
as I said I’m Claudio, 24, originally from Rome, I have lived a few years in London and then moved to Berlin to attend an MA degree in September 2021 and stayed here since.
I am a Music Producer, Recording and Mixing Engineer - I work in the Berlin Music Industry and I am quite passionate about that! My room is also my Studio and I work here most of the time, I try to keep it quiet but I do necessarily have to work, record in here or host meeting with other professionals or artists a few times per week.
This is something important to me and I will explain it further in the next section.
Other than that I think I am pretty easy going! I like cooking, cats, football (maybe too much) hanging out with my friends and a lot more as most people.
I don’t like establishing fixed rules but I am afraid that I will have to state at least some and please read them through before applying. So what it’s most important to me (and the Landlords) is that:
- You are a Student or have a Job that doesn’t require being too loud in the flat. I was unfortunately told not to accept applications from someone working with Music like I do. I think one is enough for them, I’m sorry.
- You are cool and incontrovertibly ok with me making Music, Recording and playing Instruments in the other room.
Of course, I will try to keep it as quiet as possible, only up to a certain time of the day and if there is anything special about it or I do require a few minutes of silence for some reason, I will tell you before and we will agree on that. That said, you can also enjoy Music or play an instrument, I would just ask you for your understanding about my needs
- My girlfriend spends the night here quite often, she is a very friendly person and also tries to keep everything quiet. But if you take the room you will see her around quite often. Nevertheless, the same case applies to you: if your partner wants to spend the night with you from time to time, or you have friends visiting for a short period, they are more than welcome too. I’m sure they’re all very friendly and quiet as well.
- We strive to keep the apartment clean and we have Hoovers and Mochos to do that. So let’s be clean
Finally, a short list of considerations before you apply:
- I am looking for a Male person. I am sorry if anyone feels left out, I have also been there, it is the way it is.
-the cold rent is 450€, plus the expenses for Internet, Electricity and Rundfunkbeitrag (Broadcasting Services) which are approximately 100€ per month, sometimes less sometimes more. I will be as transparent as possible with that and always be able to show you the bills I receive before we split them. So let’s say that the average rent Warm (Total) will be of around 550€.
- the Anmeldung is possible!
- I am planning to give away the room in one week, so if you apply please be ready to be potentially ready for a meeting and a viewing already from this weekend or next week (4th November - 10th November)
- I feel like I have been writing and saying a lot, now it’s your turn!
Please include in the application some information about yourself, who you are, what are you up to, how long have you been here for or if you’re new, what are your interests and so on. I will be happy to read it though and will try my best to reply to everyone ( Please, be yourself, I appreciate you writing an answer just for this ad rather than just copy and paste it from another one. I want to talk with you rather than to chat GPT... Let’s keep it personal)
All the best and good luck!
Claudio
