Before reading any of this please take note, we will try our best to respond to all of you but with the price and location of the room we receive usually 100+ messages a day. We apologise if we do not respond to your message.
The room is a 10 sqm space offering a built in loft bed. It gets a natural mid day light. It is ideal for those who live more minimalistic but offers enough space for a small couch, clothing storage, and desk. You even have your own separate entrance to the apartment as the room is in separate area of the rest of the flatmates split by a living room so it is a rather quite and secluded space. Directly next to the room is a shower/bath for your convenience. In total the apartment amounts to 138 sqm. The living room offering all the furnishings is an ideal 60 sqm and includes a nice projector for watching movies as well as a grand table for having friends over for dinner. The apartment is equipped with two bathrooms a 12 sqm kitchen with separate 5 sqm pantry room containing a full size fridge and storage. The kitchen also offers all the essentials you need for cooking, coffee, and even a dishwasher.
Also Important note: There is a very old cat in the flat
Our Apartment is in lovely Schöneberg right across the street from the Schöneberg Banhhof. The Banhof offers you the ability to be anywhere in the city in around 30 mins or less. Lines serviced at the station include: S1, S41, S42, S45, S46 Bus Lines: 248, M46.
The area is rather quiet but is a 15 min walk from the Apostel-Paulus-Kirche, which is an area that offers a nice blend of restaurants, cafes, and bars. We are also within 15 mins walking from all major supermarkets. In the nicer days we are 10 mins walking from Volkspark Wilmersdorf which gives you access to a nice space for relaxing and also exercise. In the summer months the S1 can take you directly from our house to the souther side of Grunewald for lake side
The flaltshare is international / german with a mix of people who have lived in the city for 1 year and those who have lived here for a 8 + years. We would prefer someone who is german/english speaking...it by no-means has to be your native tongue we just want to be able to communicate properly with each-other as well as getting to know you :) Other languages spoken in the flat: Korean & French.
The ideal person will be self-sustaining and able to take care of their space as well as their use of the common spaces. We organize common space chores just to make sure that the Altbau apartment is kept up to a decent standard. Whilst we are not a collective share apartment we do acknowledge that living in a WG means living in a shared space, thus you should be okay with the pros + cons of people with different work schedules and hours of life as well as people coming from different cultural backgrounds. We do not expect you to do everything together with us by any means, we all carry our own lives but it would be nice to have someone who is down to have a beer together every once and while.
WG searching can be a difficult task with so many messages daily. Thus we kindly ask you to fill out these questions when sending us a message. We will try our best to get back to all of you with either an invitation or letting you know that we have found someone to fill the room.
1. What do you do for a living?
2. What is your normal workday schedule?
3. What is your worst habit?
4. What are your biggest pet peeves/ things that annoy you?
