Helloo :)))

My name is Mariela, I am 24 years old and originally from Bulgaria! I moved to Berlin in July and before that, I lived for 5 years in the Netherlands where I did my studies. My background is in design/arts and for the past year I have been working remotely for a cosmetic company. Now I am combining it with an internship here in a production company for arts and culture. For the past few months, I have been living in a temporary place and now I am looking for a permanent home!

For me, home is an essential part of my environment and I would like to find a place where I will feel comfortable and have a good relationship with my housemates. Life can be busy but I try to keep up, so I like to come up with fun activities to do together. Recently organized a “real or cake” event where we all had to make a realistic cake. Of course, this is more specific and I appreciate very much easy activities to do together. In my current flat, we watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lord of the Rings trilogy, play games such as Catan, and have chats + kaffee und kuchen.

I am a silly girl who likes to get serious. From me, you can expect to hear the latest gossip from TikTok but also have deep talks and discuss things in life like human behavior, emotional intelligence, and gender dynamics. Right now I am very into the topic of attachment styles so probably I will bring it up often. When I learn new things I like to share them and discuss them with the people around me. Even though I am an extroverted person, I very much like my personal space, and for me it is very important to have time to recharge. I would often have some “me” time - do my nails, watch a movie, or 3D print by hand- for example making the house into magnets lol ( you can see in the photos).

If the weather is nice, you will find me outside! During the weekend and some evenings, I would usually be with my friends. I go to exhibitions very often, especially now with my internship I have to follow and be updated on what art events are happening in Berlin so if you have an interest in contemporary art, we will get along very well.
