Suche nette Mitbewohnis!

Hey Leute!

Ich bin Nic und suche nach einer neuen WG mit lieben Mitbewohner*innen! Evtl. könntet ihr mir ja helfen! :)

Zu mir: Ich mache gerade meinen Master in Regionalstudien Asien/Afrika an der HU und bin spezialisiert auf süd- und südostasiatische - vor allem indische, indonesische und malaysische - Politik, Geschichte, Gesellschaft usw.; ich schreibe allgemein viel über Rechtspopulismus, religiöse Politik und Autoritiarismus und meinen Master über die Verschmutzung in Delhi und ihre politische Dimensionen. Ich habe etwas Indonesisch und Hindi gelernt und werde mich ab demnächst auch an Urdu herantrauen. Nebenbei arbeite ich bei MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières / Ärzte Ohne Grenzen) im Fundraising-Team in der Weddinger Zentrale.

Freizeitmäßig bin ich für Vieles zu haben und allgemein sehr sozial aktiv, aber schon ein wenig dem Techno verfallen - auch wenn ich mittlerweile nicht mehr jedes Wochenende ausgehe. Ich habe die meisten Clubs in Berlin schon von innen gesehen und beteilige mich vor allem als Awareness-Mensch in kleinen Kollektiven namens Homeostat und Sublime, von ersterem bin ich auch als festes Mitglied tiefer in der Planung involviert und allgemein, was Raves Planen usw. angeht, schon seit ein paar Jahren aktiv. Aber keine Sorge - wenn es nicht erwünscht ist, würde ich die Party auch nie nach hause bringen! Zu hause bin ich sowieso sehr gechillt und allgemein sehr bedacht darauf, meine Rave-Aktivitäten und den gechillten Alltag gut auszubalancieren - freue mich aber natürlich, wenn sich jemand meinen Eskapaden anschließen möchte. :) Abseits von all dem mache ich sehr gern Yoga, koche gern und gut, hänge - wenn das Wetter es hergibt - sehr viel draußen in Parks und an Seen rum, spiele gern Gesellschaftsspiele oder Mario Kart/Party mit Freund*innen, setze mich ab und zu zum Transkribieren an das Klavier (ich habe sogar mal als Klavierlehrer gearbeitet), gehe Thrift Shopping und erkunde Berlin auf dem Rad - bei meinen Freund*innen bin ich als Berlin-Experte bekannt, der sich fast überall in der Stadt auskennt und viele coole Tipps hat, was die Freizeitgestaltung angeht. Auf Demos gehe ich auch öfter.

Ich bringe auch sehr viel WG-Erfahrung mit! Ich lebe schon seit ca. 8 Jahren in internationalen WGs in Berlin, einen Großteil der Zeit war ich auch Hauptmieter. Wie schon erwähnt bin ich ein kleiner WG-Koch, der gerne seine Mitbewohner*innen mit leckerem Essen versorgt (mein Chili, Schichtkohl, Kartoffelsalat usw sind sehr beliebt!), oft in gemeinsamen Räumen rumhängt und für Abhängen, Quatschen usw. zugänglich ist. Ich rauche manchmal CBD (Gras ohne THC), kann das aber auch gern komplett nach draußen oder auf einen Balkon verlegen; bisher habe ich zumindest oft mit Nichtraucher*innen zusammengewohnt und es ist noch nie zum Streitthema geworden. Eine WG mit Putzplan wäre mir lieb - bis jetzt habe ich eher schlechte Erfahrungen mit WGs gemacht, bei denen jeder alles und somit irgendwie alle nichts zum Aufräumen/Sauberhalten beitragen muss -, aber keine Sorge, ich würde nie Stress machen, wenn etwas mal nicht so gut läuft. Was ich jedoch nicht möchte, wäre eine Zweck-WG - ein bisschen Interaktion und Freizeitgestaltung mit meinen Mitbewohner*innen ist mir schon wichtig.
Meine momentane WG und die dazugehörigen Mitbewohner*innen mag ich auch sehr gern, der Vermieter ist aber leider sehr shady und ich suche deshalb gerade Alternativen. Momentan wohne ich in Lichtenberg, wäre aber natürlich immer bereit, zu einem WG-Casting vorbeizuschneien. Ich würde mich sehr drauf freuen, euch kennenzulernen!! :)

Hey guys and girls!

My name's Nic and I'm looking for a new WG with nice rommates! Maybe you can help me out. :)

About me: I'm studying to finish my master's degree in Regional Studies, Asia and Africa at HU, where I specialise in South and Southease Asian (mainly Indian, Indonesian and Malaysian) politics, history, society and so on; I write a lot about right wing populism, religious politics and authoritarianism and my master's thesis will be dealing with the political dimension of pollution in Delhi. I learned some Hindi and Indonesian over of my studies and will try learning some Urdu soon as well. As a side job I'm working in MSF's (Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders) fundraising team in the German MSF headquarters in Wedding.

In my free time I'm doing a lot of different things and am generally very socially active. I'd say that the techno scene is one of my passions, even though I'm not going out every weekend any more. I have seen most of Berlin's techno clubs from the inside by now and I'm active in two small collectives called Homeostat and Sublime, mostly as an Awareness-person, though also as a full planning member of the former; overall I've been active in the rave planning scene for a bit. But don't worry - I would never take the party home if my roommates aren't okay with it! Generally I'm very chill at home and good at finding a balance between a chill, healthy life and some partying on the side - but of course I'd be happy if my new roommates would join these escapades every now and then :) Apart from all this I really like doing yoga, I cook often and well, hang out at parks and lakes if the weather allows me to, love playing board games or Mario Kart/Party with friends, sit down to transcribe songs on the piano every now and then (I even worked as a piano teacher for a while), love to go vintage thrift shopping and exploring Berlin by bike - my friends know me as a guy who knows almost every corner of Berlin and always has some good suggestions about fun shit to do.

I also have a lot of WG-experience as I've been living in shared flats in Berlin for about 8 years now and been a main tenant of a big shared flat for a lot of that time. As I meantioned above, I'm somewhat of a WG-chef who loves to supply his flatmates with some good food (my chili, Schichtkohl, potato salad and many more are very popular!), who is often found hanging out in common rooms to chill, talk and have a good time with. I sometimes smoke CBD (TCH-less weed), though I could do that outside or on balconies: I've lived togehter with lots of non-smokers before and it's never become an issue. A WG with a cleaning plan would be preferred as I've made some bad experiences with flats where everybody (and thus nobody) is responsible for keeping things kinda clean, though I would never stress you out if something didn't work out as planned. I really don't want a Zweck-WG though (a WG of convenience where everybody always does their own thing and people don't interact much with each other) - having some healthy contact with my roommates is pretty important to me.
I really like my current flatmates and the flat is fine too, but I'm very much over dealing with a shady landlord to live in an area I don't really like too much, which is why I'm on the lookout again now. At the moment I live in Lichtenberg but would be available to show up for a WG-casting to meet up! :)
