Looking for home & community

Hi,

I'm looking for a room in Berlin.

I came to Berlin late last year. I take the advice of medical professionals seriously (covid). This is my first time in Germany, so--I’m very sorry--I do not speak German :(

I’m in my early 30s. I work in tech by day. By night, I manage a couple open-source projects. One extrapolates COVID-19 data to predict future infection rates. The other builds security-related hardware peripherals to protect folks in oppressive regimes.

I do work a lot, but I’ll usually find time to have a beer with friends. I also enjoy cooking with others (I’ve been vegan for >10 years).

Respecting each other is important to me, including respecting the common space. I cook a lot, but I always wash my dishes. If you have good knives or cast iron pots, I’ll treat them well :)

I don’t have many possessions, and I like to keep things simple. I have a small folding bicycle that’s traveled with me on some pretty epic adventures through the Middle East and the Himalayas. I love cycling, trekking, cooking, and dark, tasty beer.
