Der Stadtteil Hemelingen liegt etwas außerhalb der City. Das wirkt auf den ersten Blick vielleicht etwas abschreckend, allerdings ist Hemelingen hervorragend angebunden. Der Sebaldsbrücker Bahnhof (Zug) ist in max. 2 Minuten erreichbar und jede halbe Stunde fährt ein Zug in 4 Min. zum Bremer HBF. Mit den Straßenbahnlinien 2 und 10 bist du in 20 Min. in der Innenstadt an der Domsheide. Die Buslinie 21 fährt in 20 Minuten direkt an die Uni.

Aber auf mit dem Fahrrad bist du schnell überall: an die Uni fährt man autoverkehrsarm durch Wohn- und Grünanlagen in ca. 25 Minuten, der Weg an der Weser entlang ins Viertel dauert ca. 15 Minuten und auch der Werdersee ist in 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Am Weserwehr bist du in weniger als 5 Minuten und ein Highlight im Sommer ist die Komplette Palette, die ca. 10 Minuten entfernt ist.

Ansonsten bietet Hemelingen alles für den täglichen Bedarf: Aldi, Kaufland, Edeka, der türkischer Supermarkt Bizim, Apotheken, Sparkassen, ein Laden für Fahrradbedarf und ein Bauhaus sind entweder gut zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen.

The Hemelingen district is located somewhat outside the city center. At first glance, this may seem a bit daunting, but Hemelingen is excellently connected. The Sebaldsbrücker train station (train) can be reached in max. 2 minutes and every half hour there is a train to Bremen main station (HBF) in 4 minutes. With the streetcar lines 2 and 10 you are in the city center at the Domsheide in 20 min. Bus line 21 takes you directly to the university in 20 minutes.

But you can also get everywhere quickly by bike: it takes about 25 minutes to get to the university through residential and green areas with little traffic, it takes about 15 minutes to walk along the Weser into the neighborhood, and it takes 15 minutes to get to the Werdersee. At the Weser weir you are in less than 5 minutes and a highlight in the summer is the Complete Range, which is about 10 minutes away.

Otherwise, Hemelingen offers everything for daily needs: Aldi, Kaufland, Edeka, the Turkish supermarket Bizim, pharmacies, savings banks, a store for bicycle needs and a Bauhaus are either easy to reach on foot or by bike.

Unser WG-Leben gestaltet sich im Haus gemeinschaftlich und wir wollen ein zweckmäßiges Leben vermeiden. Generell gehen wir alltäglich unseren Tageswerken nach und man findet sich spontan in den Winkeln der Villa wieder. Regelmäßige WG-Treffen finden für Themen rund um die Bewohner:innen und dem Haus statt und sind häufig auch zum Nachlesen protokolliert. Es werden gerne Spiele-, Film- und/oder Kaminabende gemacht oder man trifft sich fur Kneipen(quiz)abende und Konzerte. Generell wünschen wir uns, dass du Lust auf gemeinschaftliche Aktionen hast. Das Haus ist sehr groß und es wirkt schnell leer, wenn alle nur in ihren Zimmern rumhängen.
Mittlweile wohnen zwei super süße Katzen bei uns. Beide laufen frei im Haus rum und freuen sich über jede Begegnung im Haus. Auf jeden Fall sind beide sehr entspannt, schlafen viel und miauen so gut und so viel sie können.

Zu gemeinsamen Hobbies zählen das Radfahren, Joggen, Schwimmen, draußen sein, Filme gucken, Konzerte und Zeichnen bzw. kreativ sein. Wir sind momentan 10 Leute, die entweder studieren, promovieren oder berufstätig sind:
* Alex (34) ist unser Tischler und Autodidakt auf dem Klavier;
* Hannah (26) ist Doktorandin in Ozeanologie, spielt viel Gesellschaftsspiele und geht gerne zu klassischen Konzerten.
* Bernd (20) frisch eingezogen, ist politisch aktiv und macht sonst noch Lohnarbeit im Discounter;
* Kris (37) Physiker mit einem Herz für Kommunikation;
* Dana (36) viel am coolen Kunstkrams machen und ist begeistert von Filmen;
* Quentin (27), hat Medizin studiert und ist poltitisch aktiv. Liebt CrossFit. Quentin hat die beiden süßen Katzen: Porto&Grace mitgebracht;
* Suse (32), promoviert zu Umweltökonomik und geht sehr gerne in die Sauna;
* Janina (23), hat sich vor kurzem mit super schönen Illustrationen selbstständig gemacht und sucht noch Mitstreiter:innen zum Rollschuhfahren;
* Tim (25) ist auch ganz frisch im Haus, mag Pflanzen und Mukke und beginnt im Winter einen Master;
* Emilio (27) ist Musiker und auch noch neu in Bremen, zieht aber erst im Mai dazu;

Ob wir zusammen passen, lässt sich am besten bei einem persönlichen Gespräch herausfinden. Für einen Vorab-Eindruck hilft es, wenn du ein paar Worte zu dir erzählst. Our WG life is communal in the house and we want to avoid a purposeful life. In general, we go about our daily business and one finds each other spontaneously in the corners of the villa. Regular WG-meetings take place for topics concerning the residents and the house and are often recorded for reference. We like to do movie / game nights and come togethers in front of the fire. Sometime we go out together for pup quiz or concerts. In general, we would like you to have a desire for communal activities. The house is very large and it quickly seems empty if everyone just hangs out in their rooms.
Meanwhile two super cute cats have been living with us. They both run around the house freely and are happy to meet anyone in the house. In any case, both are very relaxed, sleep a lot and meow as much as they can.

Common hobbies include biking, jogging, swimming, being outside, watching movies, good literature and drawing or being creative. We are currently 9 people who are either studying, doing a PhD or working:
* Alex (34) is our carpenter and self-taught on the piano;
* Hannah (26) is doing in a PhD in Oceanography, enjoys doing game nights and classical concerts.
* Bernd (20) has just moved in, is politically active and also does paid work in a discount store;
* Kris (37) physicist with a heart for communication;
* Dana (36) the artist in our house and ethusiastic about movies;
* Quentin (27) studied medicin, is politically active, does crossfit and owns the two cats;
* Janina (23) has become self-employed as an illustrator and is looking for roller skating buddies;
* Suse (32) is a doctoral candidate in environmental economics and likes to go to the sauna;
* Tim (25) is also new to the house, likes plants and music and is starting a Master's degree in winter;
* Emilio (27) is a musician and also new to Bremen, but won't be moving in until May;
