I am now looking for a new flatmate for my previous flatmate's room in the best location of Darmstadt! - If you're an international then you're extra welcome to send a message :)
The apartment consists of 5 bedrooms, two large bathrooms and a large kitchen with access to the terrace, which is shared with other residents. Your room is the 2nd/3rd biggest of the 5 rooms. The room is a little more than 13 square meters, so you can be very creative with the furnishings. The room is rented out unfurnished.
Although my previous flatmate is willing to sell his furniture for an Extra 300 Euros. (You need to talk to him about this). Photos are included.
All rooms in the apartment are equipped with underfloor heating (big plus!), The apartment was renovated before we moved in last year. The window in the rooms are large and fitted with automatic shutter. It's a modern apartment.
The kitchen is also completely new from us, so my flatmate would charge a fee of 400 € for his part of the kitchen.
The apartment is in a top location, in the immediate vicinity of the train station (about 4 minutes on foot) and another station (Kirschenallee). You can therefore go shopping, for example, in Bahnhofs-Rewe (also open on Sundays) or you can be at Luisenplatz.
To the TU you only need 10 minutes by train or bus, to the Lichtwiese the bus takes about 20 minutes. The HDA can also be reached quickly on foot.
Our 5-person shared apartment is characterized primarily by its inter-nationality. Out of four of us who still live in the apartment, two of us came to Germany through AIESEC and other 2 came for higher education. We come from different countries and are all in their early / mid-twenties. Communication is mainly in English but most of us are learning German and you should be able to get involved with us at least :)
There is also good contact with the 5-person shared apartment on the floor above us. Everyone is very nice and helpful and you can also spend an evening together.
