Hi everyone,
A spacious 15 m2 room is available in our 3-person shared flat, starting from end of May/beginning of June. The room is partially furnished, the bed, mattress and the small cupboard by the bed in the images should be taken over from the previous tenant for a reasonable price of 80 €.
The WG is located next to the train tracks that connect Nordbahnhof with the Ostbahnhof in a quiet, remote area. The trains are not audible at all with the windows closed.
To go into the city, you can use the Nordbahnhof or Eissporthalle tram stations, both of them are in 5-7 mins walking distance from the building.
The closest supermarket is an ALDI next to the Waldspirale, which you can reach in about 10-12 minutes on foot, or travel two stops with the tram from Eissporthalle. A Lidl and Rewe are also within reasonable distance (roughly 15 mins), but a bike will make your grocery shopping a lot easier if you live here.
The best aspect of the location is the Bürgerpark, which you can reach in about 5 mins on foot. The northern grassy part is great for chilling on a sunny day, and it’s also nice to go for a run or do other sports if you are into that.
You are going to share the flat with Nick (24/M) and Balazs (26/M). We both moved in last October. Nick is from Brazil, finishing his BSc in Chemistry and currently doing an internship with Merck. Balazs is from Hungary, also working/researching at Merck as a PhD student.
We like to grab a few beers on weekends, occasionally watch a movie or go cycling. We both consider it important to give others space too, there are no mandatory WG activities where you are “expected to participate” – except for keeping the common areas as clean as possible. 😉 However, we would really appreciate a good atmosphere in the WG where everyone is down to chat if their time allows.
Please don't bother contacting if you have any problems with LGBT+ or non-white people!
The language of the WG is English, but the landlord only speaks German - I can help with him if you are totally new to the language.
We've just switched to an LTE router which provides 70-80 Mbit/s, because the DSL cable in the street is limited to 16 Mbit/s.
We would appreciate a few sentences about you if you decide to contact us. Please start your message with "Nordbahnhof" so that we know you went through the description.
Looking forward to talking to you! :)
