I am subletting my room in the UZH dorm (see pictures here: https://www.swfr.de/en/residence/student-residence/summary-of-dormitories/ulrich-zasius-house/) for the month of September ONLY. Ideally, I would like to sublet the room from 3th of September, but if you want it from the 1st we can negotiate a bit about this. The room would be ideal for someone who is now moving to Freiburg to start his/her studies and is desperately looking for a short-term place to stay. I know how stressful it is to find a place here, so this can come in handy for you, instead of staying in an emergency accommodation, hostels, or hotels.
The room is furnished with bed, desk, shelves, wardrobe, and you have your own sink and mirror above it. The rent is 219E with ALL costs included. You have internet via cable and I can leave my cable for you to use it. :)
The dorm is really close to Hbf and the old part of the city. It is also close to Uni Klinikum, Institutviertel, to the Technical Faculty, Fraunhofer ISE, Fraunhofer IPM, and Seepark. There are supermarkets within walking distance and pretty much anything relevant in Freiburg is within max 10 min bike ride. The trams 1 and 3 can be reached from Runzmattenweg, and the trams 4 and 5 can be reacted from either Robert-Koch Strasse or Rathaus im Stühlinger.
You share a kitchen, living room, showers (x4), and toilets (x3) with 15 more students, but since the floor and the kitchen are big it does not feel crowded. There is a cleaning service for the common areas, so you just need to keep your room clean. We also have a nice balcony, and washing machines are available at the ground floor (you need to pay 1.50E per washing).
My contract ends at the end of September, but I am travelling all September, so this is why I wanna sublet my room just for September. The reason why I am asking for a deposit is because when I check out of my room, the walls have to be painted and the room has to be clean. I will paint the walls and clean my room BEFORE you move in, so you do not have to worry about this, but I would like to have a deposit from your side as an insurance that you will KEEP the room CLEAN. Otherwise, the dorm will charge me a lot for giving back a dirty room (they are especially strict about the walls!). I will pay you back the deposit as soon as I check that everything is as I've left it before you moved in. So, please contact me only if you are okay with this.
