The room itself is quite spacious with high ceilings and a big French window. The window opens up to an outside space big enough to have chairs and a table to enjoy the sunshine. The big windows also allow a good amount of sun for your plants to flourish. The room also has a ventilation system which circulates the air in the room with the air outside. (The filters had been changed by the dormitory recently) The room itself comes unfurnished.
The flooring is made up of wood in the bedroom and tile in the kitchen and the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove top, a microwave-oven hybrid. Your flatmate also has kitchen equipment which if discussed, she would be willing to share. There is also a table with chairs and a cupboard in the common area. There is enough cupboard space for your kitchen equipment as well.
The bathroom is quite spacious and modern. You have a shower which is suitable for wheelchair users, a sink and a toilet. There is also a ventilation system in the bathroom.
Tram line 2 is 5 minutes away while line 4 is 7-10 minute walking distance away from the apartment. By tram, you can reach the city center in around 10 minutes. Biking to the city center is also quite easy as the road is mostly flat. There is a small shop right in front of the building however Kaufland is also 5 minute walking distance away. Aldi and Lidl are also close by. There is a bakery and a DM 2 minutes away. There are washing machines in the basement as well as a laundromat nearby. So everything you need is right there.
You will only have one flatmate who is German. She studies at the University of Freiburg. Therefore, you can talk and decide on the kind of flatshare life you want together.
This is a sublet that will go on until the end of March. After that my contract will end. If you want to extend , you also have the chance to become a tenant yourself by contacting the dormitory. If you have any problems with the flat (something breaking etc.) you can contact the facility manager and get it fixed for free. Internationals are welcome. Only for university and PhD students. (The dormitory needs your proof of enrollment. )
