Hello and welcome to your future home!
The room you will be taking over is large, fully furnished, and has direct access to one of our two balconies. The room is bright and full of light at all hours due to the 3 windows and glass door (each with a set of blinds if you want to sleep in late).
The whole flat is equiped with a heating system for the cold winter months and because we are on the 9th floor, there is always a nice summer breeze.
As I am leaving the country, the furnishings will include everything you see in the photos except the tv and sofa: 2 desks, a tall wardrobe, a smaller wardrobe, a bed, a bed frame, 2 lamps, and any of the smaller accessories that you would want (laundry basket, cork board, power strips, etc.).
The centrality of the flat is one of the many perks of living here. We are a 7 minute walk to Jakominiplatz (main transport hub), 2 minutes from multiple major bus stops, a 5 minute walk to Augarten Park, a 5 minute walk to a Spar grocery store, a 10 minute walk to hauptplatz. There is also a bike cage that locks if you have a bike.
Additionally, the noise from the street is minimal due to the room being so high from the ground and only facing a small side street. There is no problem with noise from the neighbors as the ones above and next to us are law offices that are uninhabited on the weekends and afternoons. The neighbors below are friendly and have no problem with us holding flat parties/making noise at a late hour.
The saddest part about my departure is that I am forced to leave my lovely roommates. Over the course of my time here, they have not only proved to be great flatmates, but even better friends.
We are a very social flat, but respect one another’s privacy without a problem. It is a common occurence to meet in the kitchen for meal time and we will then cook and/or eat together. As a flat, we also often enjoy playing games together, watching movies, going on walks, doing weekly trivia, or just simply getting a beer and chatting.
Your future flatmates are:
Manu - A musicology student, plant dad, and master chef
Anita - A hotel worker, world traveler, and dancer
Anna - An architecture student, musician, and avid reader
Jenny - An energetic psychology student, pro vegan cook, and coffee fan
This flat is a really really amazing place that I have cherished for the past year. Alas, my visa has come to an end and I’m forced to leave it. I think this space is right for anyone looking to be in a social flat surrounded by colorful and kind people.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out :)
