The apartment has two bedrooms, one shared bathroom, one shared kitchen and one small corridor. My flatmate lives in the second bedroom (not shown in the pictures).
There are laundry machines in the basement which are used by everyone in the building. You have to pay for them based on how long you’re using them for.
The room for rent has all the furniture you might need. If you want to get rid of any of the furniture, let me know beforehand. I will leave all of it in the room (excluding the carpets). Since I bought all the furniture (except for the bed and mattress) myself, I would like to ask for 150 euros for it all as a compensation. This price is, of course, negotiable.
There is ample sunlight in the room (when the sun comes out XD) so it never gets too depressing.
The apartment is located at a 5 min walk from the central station. It is also roughly 5 minute walk from three different bus stations: Hbf, Kirchhofallee and Hummelwiese, so it is very convenient to use public transport. Sophienhof is just a 3 min walk away and there are supermarkets close by: Netto (5 min walk), Edeka (3 min walk), Rewe and Lidl (7 min walk).
After living in this apartment for 3 years, I am finally moving out. My flatmate and I are looking for a female to take over my room once I’m gone. We’re both Masters students at CAU Kiel, almost at the end of our studies.
My flatmate loves to bake almost every week, so if you're into baking, you will definitely enjoy it. We generally keep it quiet in the apartment as it is our place of relaxation. If you're into partying or having friends over a lot, then this might not be the ideal living situation for you. You can, of course, invite guests over occasionally.
The rent at the moment is 320 euros per person, excluding the Rundfunk Beitrag that has to be paid every three months in an amount of ~55 euros. This amount is shared among the flatmates so it will be around 27.5 euros (~9.2 euros/month) per person.
The total rent calculation for the entire apartment is as follows:
Kaltmiete (includes water bill): 475 euros
Electricity and gas (paid to Stadtwerke Kiel): 130 euros
Wifi (1&1): 35 euros
Total: 640 euros (320 per person)
You will receive the contracts for each of the bills mentioned above.
