Exchange student looking for apartment from 10/2014 until 07/2015

I'm looking for a place to stay while studying at University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln) next year, meaning both the winter & summer semesters 2014-2015.

I am looking for a flat - either a small apartment or a shared dorm. I'm not too picky, if the location is right - the closer to the University, the better. Also, I enjoy taking my bike to school and elsewhere, so I consider good public transportation a plus, but not a necessity.

I am a graduate student in my mid-20's, so I would prefer my roommates to be in a similar phase of life, but again, I'm not too picky if the deal is otherwise attractive. Ich kann auch Deutsch, und möchte meine Sprachkenntnisse weiter entwickeln, also Deutsch-sprachige mitwohner sind auch kein Problem.

My hobbies include traveling, hiking, music and all kinds of sports. I lead an active life, and look forward to meeting like-minded, international people - as well as locals - during my stay in Cologne.
