Unsere WG liegt im Frommekiez, mitten in der Westside von Lüneburg direkt am Liebesgrund, den wir gerne mal als Ersatzgarten oder -balkon benutzen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, du brächtest nur 7 Minuten mit dem Rad zum Bahnhof (zu Fuß ca. 20), mit dem Fahrrad ist man in 15 Minuten am Campus (Moritz Rekord mit Rennrad: 9 min). Falls wir mal Bus fahren, gehen wir meistens zum Sande, was zu Fuß so 10 Minuten dauert. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind Penny und Rewe und auf dem Weg zur Uni kommt man an Edeka Bergmann vorbei. Außerdem sind wir mit dem Kisok an der Ecke und Gumo - dem nächsten Späti, der nur einen Katzensprung entfernt liegt sehr gut beraten, was jegliche Mitternachtssnacks angeht.

Our shared flat is located in the Frommekiez, in the middle of the Westside of Lüneburg, directly on the Liebesgrund, which we like to use as a spare garden or balcony. The location is very central, you would only need 7 minutes by bike to get to the train station (about 20 on foot), and it takes 15 minutes by bike to get to the campus (Moritz's record with a racing bike: 9 min). If we ever take the bus, we usually go to Sande, which is about a 10-minute walk. The nearest shops are Penny and Rewe, and on the way to university we pass Edeka Bergmann. Kisok on the corner and Gumo - the nearest Späti, which is only a stone's throw away - are also very good options for midnight snacks.

Wir sind aktuell ein Haufen aus hauptsächlich Studis und einer Arbeitenden und sind im letzten Jahr richtig zusammengewachsen.
Normalerweise verbringen wir viel Zeit wirbelnd, kochend und schnabulierend in der Küche. Bei uns wird das Essen geteilt: Wir gehen einkaufen und teilen dann die Beträge am Ende des Monats zwischen uns auf. Wir sprechen hauptsächlich Deutsch, aber können uns alle auch sehr gut auf Englisch ausdrücken. Manchmal ist unsere WG auch etwas chaotisch, aber mit Putzplan und regelmäßigen WG-Plena (aka WG-Ting), versuchen wir immer wieder Ordnung, Raum für Austausch sowie die WG zu einem Wohlfühlort zu schaffen.
Uns ist ein Diskriminierungs-sensibler Raum wichtig. Wir versuchen sehr bewusst, mit unseren Worten und Taten zu einem sicheren Raum beizutragen für alle unabhängig von Geschlecht, Sexualität, Hautfarbe, Herkunft, Körper oder sozialem Status. Und wir wünschen uns das auch von dir, wenn du einziehst und besprechen das gerne nochmal persönlich beim Kennenlernen.

We are currently a mixed bunch of mostly students and one trainee/employed person and have really grown together over the last year.
We usually spend a lot of time whirling, cooking and snacking in the kitchen. In our house, food is shared: We go shopping and then split the amounts between us at the end of the month. We speak mainly German, but have no problem expressing in English as well. Sometimes our shared flat is a bit chaotic, but with cleaning schedules and regular WG plena (aka WG ting), we always try to keep things tidy, create space for exchange and make the shared flat a feel-good place.
A discrimination-sensitive space is important to us. We try very consciously to contribute to a safe space for everyone regardless of their sexuality, skin color, origin, body or social status with our words and actions. And we want you to do the same when you move in, so we’ll have a chat about it when meeting :)
