I am looking for a new flatmate for a small but comfortable WG in Rotes Feld. The offered room is a pleasant, fairly bright room that faces away from the street. It has a double window facing north and another window facing west. While the room is unfurnished, there is a wardrobe in the basement that can be used and there are some shelves hanging in the room. The kitchen is colorful and completely equipped, including a new fridge, stove, and oven (though an additional small pot would be nice :)). There are washing machines, a dryer, a large storage area in the basement, and a communal bike basement. The bedrooms and entrance are carpeted, and the flat is well insulated so it tends to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The building has a parking lot, and finding a spot is not an issue.]
The price includes everything - rent, utilities, and internet.
The room is already empty, so the move-in date can be discussed.
The flat is located in the southeastern part of Rotes Feld. The river and its biking/running trails is directly across the street. The city center and the train station are a 10-20 minute bike ride away, and the 5012 bus line stops right around the corner. Penny, Lidl, Aldi, Budni, and a bakery (open Sunday mornings) are all around 5 minutes away by bike. The university is also a 5 minute bike.
While the building is located on Willy Brandt Strasse, it is on a fairly empty part of the street and the flat faces back so noise is not an issue.
I am a PhD student in the university, and am looking for a friendly flatmate with whom to enjoy a beer or dinner sometimes in the evenings or weekends and who is fun to hang out with. I am fairly easy going and am looking for someone similar. I prefer someone who is either working or a graduate student and who has lived before in WG's, but am flexible.
While I do take some German classes, the language in the flat is English.
