WG-Zi in 3er WG | Room in Shared Apartment (ab 15.11)

BUS & BAHN
Innerhalb von 10 Minuten Fußweg kommt zu der Haltestelle BISMARCKPLATZ, an der Busse und Straßenbahnen Richtung Bahnhof (5 Minuten Fahrtzeit bis zum HBF Mainz) oder in die Innenstadt (10 Minuten Fahrtzeit bis zum Schillerplatz) fahren.
Direkt vor dem Haus liegen aber auch die beiden Haltestellen für die LINIEN 28 und 78.
Linie 28 fährt auf dem Weg nach Wiesbaden über den Hauptbahnhof Mainz (5 Minuten Fahrtzeit), und in die Innenstadt (12 Minuten Fahrtzeit bis zum "Hofchen/Listmann" direkt vor dem Dom).
Linie 78 fährt auf direktem Wege über den Campus der JGU. In 7 Minuten seid ihr mit ihr an der Haltestelle "Universität Mainz"; in 9 Minuten bei der Haltestelle "Colonel-Kleinmann-Weg", die ist nur 5 Gehminuten vom GFG / Philosophicum entfernt.

-----BUS AND TRAM
Within 10 minutes you can walk to the bus stop BISMARCKPLATZ, where buses and trams are going to the train station (5 minutes drive to main station Mainz "Hauptbahnhof") or to the city center (10 minutes drive to "Schillerplatz").
But in front of the house you can also find the two stops for buses 28 and 78. BUS 28 is heading to Wiesbaden via Mainz Main Station (5 minutes drive), and into the city center (12 minutes drive to "Höfchen / Listmann" directly in front of the cathedral). Line 78 is directly driving through the university campus. In 7 minutes you are at the stop "University Mainz"; in 9 minutes at the stop "Colonel-Kleinmann-Weg", which is only a 5 minutes walk from the GFG / Philosophicum buildings.

EINKAUFEN
Am Bismarckplatz findet ihr die beiden Discounter Aldi / Lidl (10 Minuten Fußweg), 5 Minuten weiter findest du ebenso einen Netto. Im King-Park-Center (15 Gehminuten) gibt es einen Edeka und auch einen Aldi sowie auch eine Poststelle.
-----FOODSHOPPING
At the Bismarckplatz you will find the two discounters Aldi / Lidl (10 minutes walk), 5 minutes further you will also find a Netto. In the King Park Center (15 minutes walk) there is an Edeka and also an Aldi as well as a post office.

PARKEN
Vor und im Haus gibt es die Möglichkeit ein Fahrrad abzustellen.
Wenn du ein Auto hast: vor dem Haus gibt es einen Schotterparkplatz, der aber dadurch, dass da nur wenige Plätze verfügbar sind nicht immer frei ist. Man findet aber immer an der Wall- oder Mombacher Straße einen Parkplatz.
----- PARKING SITUATION
In front of and in the corridor of the house there is the possibility to park your bike. If you have a car: in front of the house there is a gravel parking lot, which is not always free because there are only a few spots available. But you can always find a parking lot next to Wallstraße or Mombacher Straße.

SONSTIGES
Wir wohnen nicht weit weg vom Hartenpergpark. Innerhalb von wenigen Gehminuten ist man dort. Er ist der perfekte Ort um im Sommer seine Füße in einem kühlen Brunnen abzukühlen, mit Freunden zu grillen, Minigolf zu spielen oder auch im Herbst/Winter einfach mal kurz die schnelle Flucht ins Grüne einzuschlagen :-)
----- OTHER THINGS
We don't live far from the Hartenpergpark. Within a few minutes you are there. It is the perfect place to cool off your feet during summer in a cool fountain, have a barbecue with friends, play minigolf or simply take a quick escape into the "countryside" in autumn / winter :-)

Deine Mitbewohnerinnen werden Rosa (21, im Studium, Theaterwissenschaft) und Vicky (23, aktuell im Praktikum, studiert aber eigentlich Soziale Arbeit) sein. Beide sind sehr offene, lebensfrohe und herzliche Menschen. Ich verlasse die WG und die beiden nur sehr ungern, muss aber für die Arbeit nach München umziehen. Wir haben in der WG zusammen gekocht, geredet, Wein getrunken, Spielabende veranstaltet, sind feiern gegangen. Es wäre schön, wenn auch nach meinem Auszug keine Zweck-WG hier entsteht. Das Motto ist aber immer: alles kann, nichts muss. Du hast hier ebenso einen Ort, an dem du dich zurückziehen und zur Ruhe kommen kannst. Da Rosa gerade erst wieder aus ihrem Auslandssemester auf Malta zurück ist sind auch Erasmus Studenten gerne gesehen. Es wäre allerdings ideal, wenn du bereits WG-Erfahrung mitbringst. Dann gibt es noch zwei Dinge, die die WG auszeichnet: Rosa und Vicky ernähren sich beide vegetarisch (kein muss für dich aber schön wäre es natürlich ;) ) und das Thema der Nachhaltigkeit ist ihnen beiden wichtig.

-----YOUR ROOMMATES
Your roommates will be Rosa (21, studying theater studies) and Vicky (23, currently doing an internship but she is studying "social work"). Both are very open, cheerful and friendly people. I am reluctant to leave the apartment and the two girls, but I have to move to Munich for a new job. We cooked together, talked, drank wine, organized games evenings, went partying. It would be nice if, after my move, no "purpose-shared apartment" arises here. But the motto is always: everything can do, nothing has to. You also have a place here where you can retire and rest.
As Rosa just came back from her semester abroad in Malta, Erasmus students are also very welcome. However, it would be ideal if you already have experience living in a shared apartment. There are two things that are important for you to know beforehand: Rosa and Vicky are both vegetarians (it's not a must for you but it would be nice of course ;) ) and the big topic of sustainability is important to them.

WASCHEN
Im Keller gibt es einen Raum mit 2 überdurchschnittlich großen Waschmaschinen. Jeder Waschgang wird mit einer Waschmarke ausgelöst, die vorher für 3 Euro pro Stück beim Vermieter gekauft werden müssen. Das Geld fürs Waschen ist nicht im Preis für die Miete einberechnet.
-----TO WASH
In the basement there is a room with 2 relatively large washing machines. For each wash you need a coin which must be purchased for 3 euros beforehand from the landlord. The money you need to wash is not yet included in the price of the rent.

STAURAUM
Es gibt im Hausflur auf jedem Stockwerk einen kleinen Stauraum, in dem z.B. Kartons zwischengelagert werden können.
----- STORAGE
There is a small storage space in the hallway on each floor where f.e. cartons can be stored.

Bitte schreibt uns eine E-Mail in der ihr uns ein bisschen etwas über euch erzählt (Beruf, Hobbies etc.) und wir melden uns dann bei euch mit einer Terminanfrage für eine Besichtigung / einen Skype Call. Aufgrund der hohen Zahl an Anfragen sage ich schonmal vorab: nehmt es uns bitte nicht böse aber wir können nicht auf jede Nachricht antworten. Wir planen die nächsten Besichtigungen am Freitag, den 11.10 (abends ab 19 Uhr) und am Samstag, den 12.10 (tagsüber) - sagt uns am besten schonmal wann ihr an den beiden Tagen kommen könntet. Das beschleunigt die Kontaktaufnahme.
Nur mal vorab: Zur Vertragsunterzeichnung braucht ihr später dann die Kaution von 500 € in Bar und eine Elternbürgschaft.

We're planning the next date to visit the apartment on Friday, the 11.10 (in the evening from 19 clock) and on Saturday, the 12.10 (during the day) - please already tell us in your message when you have time to come to us on those two days. This speeds up the contact.
Just in advance: To sign the contract later you will need then the deposit of 500 € in cash and a "Elternbürgschaft".
