As I will be moving to another city at the end of March, I am looking for a new tenant for my very bright and spacious room starting April 1st. The room is approximately 20 m^2 and will be fully furnished (with a fee for furnishings), so you can simply bring your suitcase and move in without any hassle. The three large windows are my favorite feature of the room - it's always so bright in there that I don't need to turn on the lights before sunset.
The flat (approximately 65-70 m^2) has two rooms: one for you and another for your flatmate Malou. It also features a spacious and cozy living room with an open kitchen, suitable for dining or playing board games with friends. The hallway is large enough to store shoes, hang coats, and set up a drying rack for clothes. The bathroom is a bit small, but it is sufficient for two people.
The bedroom furniture consists of a bed with two storage drawers underneath, a mattress, a desk with drawers, an office chair, a shelf, a sleep sofa, an armchair, a small table, a standing lamp, and a wardrobe. In the public area, all visible furniture is included such as the washing machine, the fitted kitchen, the TV, and the microwave. The total cost of the furniture was around 2000-2100 euros, and now I'd like to sell them at 1000 euros.
The flat is located very centrally in Mannheim, just one block away from the Marktplatz. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the university, and about 10 minutes by tram (or 20 minutes on foot) to reach the main train station. Supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl), two tram stations (Marktplatz and Abendakademie), DM, cafés, and many restaurants are all less than a 5-minute walk away. The Neckar river is about 10 minutes away on foot, providing a convenient location for a walk and some fresh air. In the past few years of living in this flat, I have found that everything I need for my daily life is within a 10-minute distance.
Your new flatmate Malou is studying for a master's degree in business informatics and is currently on an exchange semester in Barcelona. She will return in early July. Until then, you will be living with Anna, who is in her last semester of a bachelor's program in business. Sometimes, we have small chats in our lovely kitchen/living room while cooking. We might also enjoy a cup of tea or some brownies together and engage in deeper conversations. However, we also respect each other's need for peaceful and quiet time to chill in our own rooms. Overall, our flat is a relaxing and harmonious place to be.
For our flat, we pay 475 euros for the base rent (Kaltmiete) and 215 euros for additional costs (Nebenkosten). Other expenses (wifi, electricity, and broadcasting fee) add up to around 110 euros. In total, each of us pays approximately 400 euros monthly. The additional costs may vary depending on utility expenses, like heating. Additionally, all furnishings cost 1000 euros, as mentioned above.
I have enjoyed living in this very nice flat for the past four years. Unfortunately, I need to move out now. I hope to find someone who will take over my room and also enjoy living here.
