Hi there! I'm moving out soon from this lovely WG and therefore I'm looking for a new tenant who would love to take over my room.
The flat has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom with a toilet, bath and shower and a second room with a toilet. Then there is a lovely upstairs area that is a combined living room/dining room and connects to the kitchen, which has an oven, stove, 2 fridge freezers and microwave as well as all the usual kitchen appliances which we all share. We also have a medium sized balcony, that’s lovely to relax on in summer, and great if you like plants/gardening. We also have a small cellar space for storage.
The flat is located in Giesing, close to the U2 station Silberhornstrasse, as well as numerous other bus and tram connections. Supermarkets such as Edeka and Lidl are < 5 minute walk away. It’s a nice area, close to the river and Flaucher, and a short bike ride/trip on public transport from the centre of Munich.
It’s really important to us that this is not a “Zweck-WG”. We enjoy chatting about how our day went, when we see each other in the evening, and enjoy the occasional flat dinner. However we all work, and appreciate that everyone needs their space sometimes. Everyone is welcome to have their friends round, however we’re not a big party-WG. We have a cleaning plan, and use Splitwise to split the cost of toilet paper/washing up liquid etc.
Your new flatmates would be:
Jennifer (25): I moved to Munich in July 2022 to start my PhD researching parasites. I’m originally from the UK, and have also lived in Hong Kong, Switzerland and Austria. Aside from my work, I love any sport that takes place in the water (river swimming, scuba diving, unterwater rugby etc), love learning new languages, am a big fan of boardgames and watch a lot of detective/murder mysteries. I also love hitchhiking and couchsurfing through different countries when I travel.
Julien (33): German/French, works for a car company, big coffee fan and looks after the jungle of plants in our living room and on the balcony. He enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends and power walking along the Isar. Makes an excellent banana bread
Izzy (23) grew up in southern Hesse and has spent the last year living in Austria, which has only increased her love for the mountains. For her master's degree in tourism, she moved to Munich in October. To finance her Aperol Spritz, she works as an event manager alongside her studies. Izzy loves to cook and bake and has declared the balcony as her favorite place in the apartment. She goes to yoga too rarely and loves hosting game nights with friends or spending time outside.
