Hi everybody!
Currently living in the apartment are Katja, Mathilde, Pius and Manu. Manu will be leaving in November, which is why we are looking for our new roomie from 01/12 :) We are all working full-time, Mathilde as a furniture buyer and Pius as Software Developer and Katja as a Innovation consultant at the World Food Programm. We are all pretty active people out and abouts, but we also like to find time to do things together as a flat. This could be anything from cooking a nice meal (what's your favorite meal to cook?), having a few beers and a chat, going to the mountains, cycling or watching a movie, so we’re looking for someone who would fit in with us and wants to partake in our WG-life!
We talk mainly in English and would like to continue using it as our standard language.
The new tenant would need to join the main WG contract (no sub-letting) and thus be outside of their probation period at work on a long term contract.
Room:
The 15m² room in our beautiful 4-person shared flat will be available from 01.12. Manu would be happy to sell to the new tenant the current furniture in the room, for 200€ : bed 140x200, mattress, a dresser, wall shelves and 2 kallax shelves. The room has a large window facing north. The flat is approx. 148 m² and is very well equipped. In addition to the 4 bedrooms, there is also a large, fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living room.
Location
Our flat is in a super location in Schwabing. The u-bahn stations Münchner Freiheit and Dietlindenstraße are very close, and the English Garden is a few minutes walk. In the immediate vicinity you will also find everything you need for your daily needs: supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, doctors, pharmacies, etc.
So a little bit about us personally…
Mathilde:
Living abroad for 7 years now, WG life is for me a synonym of feeling home, no matter where you are. In that sense, sharing a meal, a glass of wine (French roots don’t lie), going on a hike or meeting new people together are part of what makes me happy in community. I strongly believe in understanding each other’s pace though and value open communication as key for a successful WG. I am 31, working in a decoration company - I’m always keen on redesigning our flat and trying to make it comfy for everybody - whether it’s a new rug or some cute pillows for our sofa.
I try to follow Katja on the Yoga sessions.. but very often end up going to the swimming pool or the gym for a Spinning class :)
Pius
I am Pius (29), Software Developer and I really like to go to the office. I grew up in the bavarian country side, but lived in Berlin, Stockholm and Paris for a few years. Always in shared apartments. I like to spend time in the flat, have a chat or hang out with my roomies. I play a lot of ultimate frisbee and like to do other random hobbies like going to the gym, ski touring, hiking, eisbach surfing, bouldering. I am traveling quite a few weekends in the year for frisbee. But when I am here and you are doing a sport I am probably at least down to try it.
Katja
I moved to Munich a year ago for my work as an Innovation consultant and had the luck to find this perfect WG to settle into. As I am from Holland (the most flat country around the globe) I am very excited about going to the mountains. Whether it is a summer swim in the lakes, a hike in the fall, or snowboarding in the winter. And of course for any of these events, I love it when my roomies join. Same for when I go bouldering, race biking, or going for a cold winter dip in the Eisbach; you're very welcome to join! When I am not doing any of the above, I'm most likely in Amsterdam where my boyfriend, family and most of my friends live.
I'm excited to meet our new roomi and build a fun, warm, cozy house to bring an extra spark to life in Munich.
