The room is about 14 m2 but in the end the size of the room is more or less unimportant as you might spend 90 % of your time in the great comunity rooms of the flat (living room, kitchen, galery, terace or balcony. The room does have a closet but beyond that it is unfurnished. I am open to selling some furniture though. You have two windows with plenty of light coming in, lovely wooden and carpet floor and ceiling that you can hang plants from. Honestly, the room is small but the shape of it makes it very cozy, so if you fancy bigger community rooms over a big own one, this is your new place to be. The room is also the only room in the second floor of the flat which gives you a lot of quietness and privacy for some good sleep.
The flat is located right above the schoppershof metro station (U2 line going to the airport or Hbf), thus walking to the metro takes less than a minute. Metro to the city center or airport takes about 10minutes.
A supermarket is also 1minute away.
The Stadtpark is very close as well, less than 10minutes walking distance.
There are multiple bars and restaurants near by, offering a wide variety of food (from local food to sushi to excellent Mexican food etc.).
Unforuntately I leave the flat for bigger and better adventures, so we are are in need of a new flatmate.
The flat consists of a very open, fun and friendly bunch, both German and international. We have one German, Welsh, Italian and Portuguese person living with us. Two persons also speak Spanish. What you can be assured of, is inclusion and open communication. The flat has a history of hosting amazing parties, hangouts and activities together and with friends. Let me break down the vibe a bit more by introducing the flatmates:
Alex - the Welsh storyteller, tennis enthusiasts/coach & adidas developer. This guy will have you laughing in seconds and might pull your leg a few times with his stories and jokes. He is a hard working man, with a busy schedule from coaching to work and sports, but loves to spend any spare time socializing and having a couple of drinks at any time. He is the "wg daddy" with knowledge about how everything works and will never let you down in moments the diswasher playes games on you. Whatever you need he will help you out.
Carol - our resident Italian who loves animals, nature, sports, gym, mountain biking, dancing and other adventurous things who might want her to join you in. She will make you vegan pasta and is extremely strict on what is allowed on a pizza. She moved to Nuremberg to work at Reebok but you will realise that yourself once you see her shoe collection.
Tomas - Fresh from Portugal as he joins Siemens, Tomas loves anything that involves a board. He surfs, kitesurfs, skates and even built his own surfboard. In the flat he will surprise you with either great and perfectly cooked food or Hello Fresh time saving dinners as he is working super hard lately but he will also dance his heart out on a night out with you.
Fabi - our newbee and last member to enter the flat is a founder by heart and loves to evaluate and try out new ideas all the time. Beside that he is open for everything that involves fun, food, sport and music. He is a incredible piano player who will surprise you from time to time with a private concert in the living room.
These are just some short introductions but there are of course a billion things more to find out ;-)
Some more details to the flat:
From our experience, tidiness in the communal areas and proactivity and communications are key to a great co-living experience.
The sauna can be used at any time, though as agreed with the flat - if used often or with friends a tip for the electricity bill is appreciated.
Likely music taste you will hear around the house: piano concerts (by the big Fabian Raum), UK grime (when Alex has a spare moment in the living room), electronic music (from disco vibes to techno in the evenings).
Since we're all working (at least) full-time we have recently hired a cleaning person, the cost is shared between all the flatmates and included in the rent as other expenses already.
You can contact me for viewings by sending a small description of yourself including hobbies, job, what you can bring to the flat as a flatmate. Move in date is negotiable.
