The available room is 14m2 , and looks out onto the balcony that faces the innenhof, so it is very very quiet and calm.
The space is big enough for a bed (currently there is a large bed inside so the room appears smaller), a dresser/kammoda, a desk, and space to store a bike if you want!
The room has two windows, with a lot of natural light from the morning until noon. One of the windows also functions as a door onto the balcony, so you can step out and have a morning coffee in the sun :)
The flat has a good-sized common area / kitchen (for a 2-person WG), with enough space for a couch to watch movies in the evening, a table for nice evening dinners with friends, and a well-equipped + spacious kitchen for preparing nice food!
The two balconies are a real luxury, one is quiet and facing the innenhof (courtyard) and the other is facing North with an amazing view of Kahlenberg and the Wienerwald!
The toilet is separate from the bathroom which is always a nice convenience, and in the bathroom we have plenty of storage space as well as a bathtub/shower, and of course a washing machine (it's new and low-energy)!
There is space for extra storage outside the bathroom (between the kitchen area, you see in the photos), for storing your additional things, so everything doesn't need to fit into your room !
The second bedroom (not for rent) is directly off of the living room.
The flat is on the fourth floor, and it is about 6 years old, it was newly built on top of an older building , so the first three floors are alt-bau, and our floor is the first newly built floor.
We have an elevator, a private storage unit in the kellar, and a bike-room.
Currently my roommate and I live together in a shared way, meaning we are happy to sit together for a coffee or dinner, and sometimes cook for each other and in general are interested in each other's lives and care about each other.
This doesn't mean we do everything together nor that we feel forced to sit together, but rather that we are open to it and happy for it when it fits for both people :)
The person who will be living in the flat, is a 31 year old male, whose first language is English and speaks rough/OK German. He has lived in Vienna for 7 years and feels at home in the city, and is doing a PhD in degrowth/postgrowth (postwachstum). He is politically active and engaged, but also loves hobbies like bikes, coffee, reading, and relaxing on the donau insel with friends or in a hammock. He is anti-capitalist, vegetarian, and a feminist. We can talk more in detail to find out about each other!
Some things that are important in our flat: communication , respect and kindness !
There is a 500 EUR Ablöse to pay for some of the things in the flat that were recently bought (balcony furniture, washing machine, and a couch) - these would then be commonly owned by the people living in the flat, and they can decide in the future to get an Ablöse from whoever moves in after them , or to take these things with them.
