**ENGLISH BELOW**
___________
Lea (24) aka "oh sweet summerchild" is our little sunshine and loves going to ecstatic dance events and cocao ceremonies. She is currently writing her bachelor thesis about the sex-positive community, in which she is active as a participant and organizer. For several years, she has been a part of achtung°liebe, a student association for sex education. In autumn, she will begin her training as a sex educator and counsellor at the Sigmund Freud University. In her free time, she watches trashy Netflix shows and dreams about the mountains and nature 'dahoam' in South Tyrol. Direct, open, honest and non-violent communication and Consent ("only an enthusiastic yes is a yes") as a guiding principle for encounters of all kinds are especially important to her.
Hannah (23) aka HAMU aka "oh Hannaaaah!" is our budding bundle of energy. She is committed to a just way of organising community and striving for a solidary, sustainable, anti-capitalist and feminist future. At the moment, she tries to put these values into practice mainly within the context of the Degrowth movement and during her studies of the Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy Master’s. She enjoys bouldering and cycling, recently started playing the accordion and loves French music. For a peaceful way of living together, Hannah promotes openly discussing conflicts and strictly following the cleaning schedule (note Lea&Verena: LOL).
Verena (26) is a structure-loving political being with a just-do-it mentality and a solution for (almost) everything. She has been passionately studying Gender Studies in Masters’ since October and tries to bring feminist and queer critique into the techno scene through awareness work. Together with Lea and others, she organizes a sex-positive festival; and supports a conscious use of psychoactive substances. In addition to her plans to destroy the patriarchy, Verena is particularly concerned with the situation of refugees and anti-Muslim racism. The Danube Island is her second home - she loves to go there with her bicycle and ukulele, on which she plays Turkish love songs. It is particularly important to Verena that people think for themselves, learn to express appreciation and respect their own limits as much as those of others.
We see our flat as a safer space within which we can be vulnerable and be there for each other, but where our 'No, I can't/don’t want to right now' is also accepted. Although we hold the neoliberal economic system accountable for many existing crises, we try to live as resource-friendly as possible and use a lot of food from the dumpster and foodsharing. Hannah and Verena sometimes eat meat (outside of the flat), but we see ourselves as a vegetarian household. We use an app to organise WG purchases and groceries, share almost all food and often cook together and/or for each other.
In the last few months, we have unfortunately had few visitors, but our flat is a place where we like to invite people and host political/activist meetings. While our rooms are places of retreat, they also serve as communal spaces: Hannah's room is a good place to dance, learn and be creative, in Lea's room we give and receive massages, use incense and philosophize about life, and in Verena's room we plan revolutions and hold fashion shows. We are curious to see what your room will evolve into :) On the loggia (balcony) we rest, cuddle, eat and sing together. In respect for the non- and ex-smokers among us, cigarettes are rarely smoked on the loggia and we would like to keep it that way.
Coming from different disciplines and directions, we share deep concerns with structural sexism, racism and other power relations. It is important to us that you are politically conscious and perhaps politically active yourself. We wish for a person who is willing to (self)reflect critically and to contribute to communal living based on solidarity and empathy. We laugh, scream and cry a lot (in a constructive sense :D), this should not scare you off. Open communication is important to all of us, not only in the (rare) case of conflict, but also regarding our needs and boundaries. We want to take care of each other and consciously live together. You should pursue your own projects and at the same time be open to the lived realities of others. We feel responsible for our apartment; even if it does not belong to us (ownership is theft! But the relationship with the landlady is good :D). We would be happy if you felt equally responsible.
We are looking for a person who does not identify themselves as male and we are refugee, queer and non-binary friendly.
If we have sparked your interest, please send us an e-mail to , telling us why you want to live with us and how you imagine living together. For a first viewing and getting to know each other, we scheduled July 2nd and 3rd; this is also possible via Skype. The room is available immediately, but we are flexible with the moving date.
