For two vacant rooms in our cozy shared apartment we are looking for a roomie from the beginning of the year. One room has 6sqm floor space, the other 12sqm, together they are 18sqm. Both rooms have built-in loft beds, which can be used as a bed, storage area, cozy corner, etc. or removed by you. With this, the usable area is actually a bit larger. :)
Room 1 (12sqm):
The beautiful, bright room is located next to our dining room, has a bunk bed of approximately 4sqm as well as some self-built shelves underneath. It is a sunny room with a wide windowsill ideal for growing some plants. The window faces south and a wide street which means a lot of light but also some - very bareable - noise from the tram and cars.
Room 2 (6sqm):
The quiet, cozy room is located next to the entrance and has a bunk bed of approximately 3sqm. The window faces north and the inner court, which could be perfect for sleeping.
About the apartment:
The spacious apartment is in a renovated old building with beautiful herringbone parquet flooring, four seperate rooms, 4,5m high ceilings and a total of 114sqm. Next to the kitchen we have a comfy dining room with a couch and large table. That's were we meet for a tea or eating or hanging out.
We have one balcony that is commonly used. It is next to our dining room (facing north) and close to room 1. Right now there are some herbs and plants and a little bench, but we are planning to add a foldable table and second bench to make it more usuable as an outdoor dining room.
Further unbeatable extras are our spacious entrance area, the bike storage in the cellar, our dishwasher, a washing machine and the spacious bathroom with shower AND bathtub as well as a separate toilet.
We are very well connected: suburban railway station Bhf. Meidling, U6, and tram 62, Badnerbahn, and bus 59A are all max. 5 walking minutes away. All shopping possibilities (supermarkets and the Meidlinger market) are within walking distance.
Across the street, you can find a craft beer store and a lovely winery where we also sometimes go to have a drink (with our neighbours) and you can collect veggies delivered by Paradeisa.
We also have an amazing pizzeria and the Meidlinger Markt with (fresh) food stands and cute cafes is just around the corner!
Green spots nearby: Wienerberg park, Schönbrunn park, Auer-Welsbach park.
We are living together in a mindful, warm, and humorous way. We love a clean flat and are looking forward to a third FLINTA*-person who would like to shape a home here. We enjoy living collectively. At the same time, we need and give each other individual space.
About us:
Sarah (34, she/her) has been calling this place home for over six years now. As the main tenant she wishes to live in an harmonious shared flat family, full of love, respect but also shared responsibilities. Sarah likes to cook, bake and eat vegan or veggie food, especially together with friends. At the moment she is doing a Bildungskarenz and splits her time between studying in her room, doing pottery and travelling to meet friends and family. Apart from that she enjoys yoga, singing, visiting the hamsters on a walk through Meidling cemetery as well as going on an occasional hike or winter sports adventures in the alps.
Theresa (31, she/her), has been living in this flat for about one and a half years and likes the flat alot. Also Meidling is a place where she used to live for some years some years ago. She is working as a musician, music teacher and choir conductor. She really likes to sing, especially if there is more then one voice. Because of being selfemployed she is at home alot, she likes to cook with fresh veggetables picked up from the Meidlinger Markt, to bake sourdough bread for the WG and to go swimming to the public swimming pool nearby.
We have mostly quiet and nice neighbours and over the past years we've built up a caring house community with some of them. Now and then we meet for a match of table tennis in a nearby park, go to events (in Meidling) together or share a meal in one of our flats.
We also started a gardening project together with some neighbours. Our two garden beds are located in a common garden just 2 walking minutes away where we grow some organic veggies and herbs. You are very welcome to join in.
There is some furniture in both rooms which could be kept or not. We are happy to discuss it later.
For the bunkbed and shelves in room 2 you would have to pay a compensation of 150€.
