Zimmer zur ZWISCHENMIETE in Bunter WG am Yppenplatz

Unsere Wohnung liegt direkt an einem der belebtesten Orte Wiens, dem Yppenplatz (quasi unser Garten), direkt über einer Lokalzeile. Hier ist immer was los, es gibt allerlei Kleinkunst, Kulturangebote und viele Möglichkeiten, gemütlich draußen zu sitzen, was wir sehr genießen. Unseren Vermietern gehört das Cafe International - unser verlängertes Wohnzimmer, als Mieter*in bekommst du ein wenig Rabatt auf Alles außer Alkohol:). Im Anschluss an den Platz befindet sich ein großer Markt (Brunnenmarkt) mit allerlei Essbarem, Samstags gibt es einen zusätzlichen Regionalmarkt, wo wir gerne zusammen einkaufen. Es gibt Radwege und die Möglichkeit das Rad im Hof zu parken. Unmittelbare Verkehrsmittel sind U6 Josefstätterstraße, 44er, 2er. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibts nah & in alle Richtungen sowie den coolsten Second-hand-Laden (Einnahmen gehen an Obdachloseneinrichtung, die Sachen sind hübsch). Außerdem gibt es ein Späti der 24h geöffnet hat. Auch Döner, Falafelsandwich und Schawarma kriegt man hier zu Hauf zu jeder Tageszeit.

Our apartment is located directly on Yppenplatz, above a row of cafés. There is always something going on here, there are all kinds of cultural and artistic events and many opportunities to sit comfortably outside, which we all enjoy. Our landlady owns the Café Club International, so as a tenant you get a little discount on everything except alcohol :). Adjacent to the square is a large market (Brunnenmarkt) with all sorts of fresh food, and Saturdays there is an additional regional market that we enjoy going to. There is space to leave your bike in the courtyard.
Public transport is easy accessible, the closest being U6 Josefstädter Straße, 44er, 2er. All the major supermarket chains are close & in all directions as well as the coolest second-hand store (proceeds go to homeless facility, the things are pretty). There is a store open 24h where you can get a drink anytime. Kebab, Shawarma and Falafel is easy to get any day- or nighttime in the vicinity.

Unsere Busy Biene Anna Lena verlässt uns für ein Auslandssemester, weswegen ihr Zimmer für die Zeit frei wird.

Wir sind: Ali (25) extrem guter Koch im Hilton, wenn er uns mal beehrt (viel auf der Arbeit und unterwegs). Zeigt gerne einmal eine andere Perspektive und ist dabei sehr liebevoll.

Matthias (alt) , ein waschechter wienerischer Marxist im Wirtschaftsstudium. Bibellesend (+ kritisierend) auf der Couch mit einem Bier in der Hand aufzufinden oder beim Proben mit seiner Band.

Sophia (noch älter: 420 ;) ), künstlerische Tischtennis-Addict*in, dessen Spektrum zwischen Einfühlsamkeit und Stichelei voll ausgefüllt ist. Lebensmotto: Nimm's nicht zu ernst.

Oskar (n/a) mag Lachen, Sonne und warme Sommerabende - und studiert nebenbei ein wenig. Sucht Freund/-e. Sehr empfehlenswert. Herzenswarm und kuschelweich, aber er klaut gerne Essen...

Thayer (23) ist ein sympathischer Klugscheißer (Mikro-Makro-Biologe oder so), bringt nebenbei Kindern Englisch bei und ist immer für eine Diskussion rund um die Deutsche Sprache zu haben. Wenn nicht beim Kombucha brauen, dann beim Pumpkin Pie backen oder Pflanzen pflegen.

Mari (26) ist unsere Strahledame mit Donauinselsucht. Sie mag Volleyball, Aktivismus und Kunst und flitzt immer von A nach B. Sie ist Lehrerin, was dazu führt, dass wir immer wieder als Versuchskaninchen für diverse Grammatikübungen herhalten müssen, trotzdem ist sie immer bereit alberne bis tiefe Gedanken zu teilen.

Felix (26): staubsttrockener Humor, kreativer Holz- und Bierenthusiast mit Tendenz zur Staubsaugersucht. Macher mit Know-how und Lust auf Gemeinschaft, der damit unseren Wohnraum immer wieder mit etwas Neuem verschönert.

Borzoo ist unser neustes Mitglied. Er arbeitet unten im C.I. und mag Musik und Pflanzen.

Wir sind alle unterschiedlich aktiv in der WG, kochen (oft vegetarisch) und sitzen in der Küche zusammen. Jeder hat genug Ort, um sich zurückzuziehen (besonders nach der Arbeit), aber genau so die Möglichkeit Gesellschaft zu finden, worüber wir uns sehr freuen! Wir gehen oft zusammen auf den Markt, unternehmen etwas, kochen und essen zusammen.
Wir sind alle ein offener Haufen, denen direkte Kommunikation wichtig ist, um Konflikte sofort aus dem Weg zu räumen.

Es gibt eine Dame, die 1x die Woche unsere Gemeinschaftsräume säubert. Gemeinschaftsräume sind zwei kleinen Bäder & die Wohnküche mit gemütlichen Sofas sowie die Flure. Es gibt 3 Zimmer, die ein Extra-Bad haben (integriert), weshalb wir uns im Grunde zu 6t die anderen teilen. Die Bäder sind allerdings leider recht klein. Zur Vermieterin- Constanze wohnt neben uns, der Eingang ist derselbe und trennt sich dann in deren & unseren Wohnbereich. Sie ist sehr lieb und man kann mit allem zu ihr kommen. Geräte (wie Waschmaschine, Trockner und Spülmaschine) sind alle vorhanden.

Anna Lena is leaving us for her research semester, which is why her room is available for that time.

We are:
Ali (25 years old) - an extremely good cook at the Hilton, who visits us occasionally (busy with work). He likes to offer a different perspective and is very affectionate.

Matthias (old) - a true Viennese Marxist studying economics. He can usually be found reading and criticizing the Bible on the couch with a beer in hand, or rehearsing with his band.

Sophia (even older: 420 ;) ) - an artistic table tennis addict whose range spans from empathy to teasing. Her life motto is: don't take things too seriously.

Oskar (N/A) - likes to laugh, sunshine, and warm summer nights, and studies a little on the side. He is warm-hearted and cuddly, but he likes to steal food...

Thayer (23) - a likable know-it-all (micro-macro-biologist or something) who teaches English to children on the side and is always up for a discussion about the German language. When not brewing kombucha, he can be found baking pumpkin pie or taking care of plants.

Mari (26) is our smiley face who is a Danube Island addict. She likes volleyball, activism and is always running from A to B. She works as a teacher now which means that we are forced to test her prepared grammar lessons sometimes, despite that she is always open to sharing funny to serious thoughts.

Felix (26) has a really dry humor, is creative and enthusiastic about wood and beer. He has a lot of know-how, loves to have good company, and is always upgrading our space with his newest projects.

Borzoo is our newest flat mate. He works downstairs at C.I., likes playing music and his plants.

We are all different levels of active in the flat share, cook (often vegetarian and vegan) and hang out together in the kitchen. Everyone has enough space to for themselves to recharge (especially after work) but also the opportunity to socialize, which we all appreciate! We often go to the market together, do things, cook and eat together.

We are an open bunch for whom direct communication is important to solve conflicts immediately.

There is a lady who cleans our communal areas once a week. These areas include two small bathrooms and the living kitchen with comfortable sofas, as well as the hallways. There are 3 rooms that have an extra bathroom (integrated), so we basically share the other ones among 6 people. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are quite small. The landlady - Constanze - lives next to us, the entrance is the same and then separates into her and our living area. She is very kind and approachable. Devices (such as washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher) are all available.

Wir wünschen uns, dass Du Lust auf Gemeinschaft hast, Dich aktiv in der Gruppe beteiligst und Ideen, Zeit und Spaß mit- und einbringst. Wir freuen uns auch mit Dir das Nachtleben Wiens zu erleben, mit Dir zu kochen und eine Runde Tischtennis zu spielen. Vertrautes und freundschaftliches Zusammenleben ist uns sehr wichtig. Liebesgeschichten, Sorgen um die Oma oder hypothetische Diskussionen sollen auch mit Dir weiterhin Platz bei uns finden. Toleranz ist ein wichtiges Thema hier. Dementsprechend sind BIPOC und LGBTQIA+ und Menschen mit internationalem Hintergrund auf jeden Fall willkommen.

We hope that you are looking for living in a warm community, actively participating and bringing ideas, time, and fun to the group. We want to enjoy Vienna's nightlife with you, cook together, and play some table tennis. A close and friendly atmosphere is very important to us. Love stories, worries about grandma, or hypothetical discussions should also continue to have a place with us. Tolerance is an important topic here. Accordingly, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and people with international backgrounds are definitely welcome.
