The apartment:
Hello, we are looking for a new flatmate for our sunny 98-square-meter-apartment on Kalvarienberggasse. It has three separate bedrooms and a big living room/kitchen that we use together. The apartment is located on the second floor of a building (without an elevator), and we’re located between Elterleinplatz and Yppenplatz; both squares are just a 3-minute-walk from the flat. The 43 and 44 tram stops are also just a 3-minute walk, and the U6 stations Alser Straße and Josefstädterstraße are 10 minutes away. All the necessary infrastructure can be found close to our house: Brunnenmarkt, Hofer, Spar, Billa, DM, Lidl, Penny and Merkur for shopping; a post office, Erste Bank and even a public library.
More details about the room:
The room is 8,5 m2 and has a nice loft bed (hochbett) that fits a mattress up to 180 cm wide. It is available starting from the beginning of May, the costs are 345€ a month (including gas, electricity, internet etc.). Additionally, there is a one-time payment of 275€ (ablöse/costs of setting up the apartment - small renovations done, washing machine, fridge etc.) + a deposit of 810€ that is to be returned while moving out.
If you are interested in the room/flat but the initial payments (ablöse and deposit) are an issue, get in touch anyway and we’ll see if we can figure something out.
About us:
We are two queer/feminist/migrant activists/researchers/artists, 29 and 43 years old, studying, often working from home and traveling a lot. Our preferred languages of communication are English and Russian, although one of us speaks German too. We would be happy about a person with similar politics / experiences, but it's not a must.
