From September I am looking for a new flatmate for a beautiful 76m2 classic “Altbau” flat in the 16th district. The room is 12 m2, is situated on the courtyard side (therefore very quiet and sunny), has a wooden floor and a big storage space under the ceiling. Since the room is a little smaller than mine, part of the living room is reserved for you. At the moment there is a large desk corner that can stay in if you need it for studying. I work full-time so you won’t be disturbed during the day.
You can rent the room partially furnished (wardrobe with mirror, bed, bedside table, ceiling lamp, curtains etc.) without extra cost.
The heart of the apartment is definitely a large and cosy living room with plenty of space to relax with friends. There is also a big tv and a great sound system (incl. subwoofer). In addition, there is a built-in wooden cupboard, which is perfect for storing books, DVDs and everything else.
The kitchen is sunny and fully equipped including a large work surface, plenty of storage space, gas stove, oven, microwave, blender, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a dining table for four people.
The bathroom has a bathtub (which is also used as a shower) and a washing machine. The toilet is separate and has a window. The anteroom is rather small, but offers enough space for a whole shoe collection. 😉
The house also has a courtyard with garden and terrace, which can be used by all residents. 😊
In addition to the basic rent, there is a monthly charge of about EUR 60,- for gas, electricity, grid usage, internet and household insurance.
The apartment is located on Haberlgasse in the 16th district, directly at the border to the 15th district. The location is great - you can reach U6 metro station “Burggasse-Stadthalle” in 7 minutes on foot, you have the bus 48a (takes you to the Ring in 10 minutes) and tram 9 (under 10 minutes to Westbahnhof and 5 minutes to U3 metro station “Schweglerstraße”) right around the corner. It takes about 15 minutes to get to TU, 20 minutes to the main university and 30 minutes to WU - the Mariahilfer-Straße (biggest shopping street in Vienna) can be reached in 15 minutes. Within 5 minutes walking distance you have got a beautiful park, a city bike station and numerous shopping possibilities (Spar, Billa, Merkur, Penny, Hofer, Trafik and pharmacy) and the Lugner-City Shopping Centre (all shops open until 9 pm) offering a gym (FITINN), a cinema, Burger King, a huge Merkur supermarket and countless other shops.
I am looking for a nice, tidy and clean person with whom I can get along well and also enjoy spending some free time together. I really like cooking, eating, having nice conversations and relaxing together. 😉
About me: I am 25, originally from Bavaria and have been living in Vienna for 5 years. I graduated from WU a year ago and have been doing internships since then. In my free time, I like to go climbing and bouldering, doing yoga and cooking. In the evening I often meet friends, go out for some food, watch series on Netflix, listen to music and let the day end in a relaxed way. 😉
I am a considerate person who likes interesting conversations and discovering new things. But I totally understand that everyone needs a little time to themselves as well. To me, the most important thing living together is to be able to talk to each other in a friendly and respectful way. Basically, I would like to keep the happy atmosphere in the apartment. 😊
I'm flexible when it comes to the time you are staying so, for instance, if you come to Vienna only for half a year that's fine with me, too. 😊
If you are interested in visiting the apartment or talk to me via Skype, please write me a message in which you tell me a little bit about yourself - I will get back to you. 😊
I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Cheers, Kathrin
