01.07.2014 to 31.08.2015 in Göttingen - scholar and two cats

Hello!
I am a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter at Harvard University, in the English Department. I am heading to Göttingen in July to begin an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at the University. My housing needs are pretty simple: an apartment (or room in WG) for one person, preferably furnished and with a balcony (although these aren't strictly necessary), and, most importantly, a place that allows cats! The cats are 6 years old, very well-behaved and completely clean and tidy. I am willing to pay an extra deposit or a small extra fee monthly if necessary (I currently pay $20 a month extra).
Otherwise, I'm mostly interested in doing my research at the University, with occasional research trips abroad. I speak German well enough, but I know my writing style would be a bit awkward, hence English for this! But I love Germany and German, so I'm very excited to spend a year and two months in Göttingen.
