The room is furnished. It has a large bed, a couch, desk, two chairs as well as some space for documents and clothes (see photos). The windows are to the south and west, so there is plenty of light coming in. You even have a balcony towards the yard with a table and two chairs.
The flat is located in Weißensee, right on the border to Prenzlauer Berg. It's a very safe, calm neighborhood and several young families are living in the houses with which we flat share the garden.
Within 2min walking, you can take the Tram from Behaimstraße - within 5min from Antonplatz. For example, to Alexanderplatz the ride only takes 15min. There also are bus stops closeby. Supermarkets are in walking distance (Aldi, Lidl, Edeka, Rewe - to Kaufland it also just takes 10min by bike). To put it in a nutshell, you got everything you need close to you.
The WG has space for two people - since my current roommate is moving out, I'm looking for a new one :)
I'm 31 years old, German and work in political interest communication. Ideally, you also work and have "the regular" working hours or if you're still studying, you also are past your party time. I'm pretty sure it should be fine to have parties for special occasions (birthdays, new years etc.) but also don't know what the neighbors think about it - as I said, the area has a very calm family vibe. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends, go for picnics in the summer or play board games in the winter, cook delicious food. Since moving to Berlin in June, I didn't manage yet to go to the gym and bike as much as I used to do before, but generally I'm also a big fan of that!
I used to live in several other shared flats already - most of them very successful :D I generally like spending time with a flatmate to keep updated about each other's life. So ideally this won't be a "Zweck-WG" (living together to merely share expenses). Occasionally, I obviously also like to have some space to my own. Given that I have a long-distance relationship, I will however also not be in Berlin on several weekends - and my girlfriend will be visiting as well, so this shouldn't be an issue to you. When you write me, please also introduce yourself a bit and describe how you imagine life at home. Please start your message with an animal - otherwise I won't reply. This is to verify that you read everything carefully and neither of us wastes their time with a viewing. Another important aspect is of course that you know how to clean after yourself, we share chores like bringing down the trash etc.
The fixed 750€ include Kaltmiete, electricity, cold water and hot water for the summer months. The 40€ Nebenkosten are supposed to cover for heating and warm water during the winter months.
Unfortunately, WiFi is an unusually tricky issue in this place which is why I would recommend that you'd buy a mobile router and get a SIM card with unlimited data (e.g. from "FUNK" for 1€/day). In addition to this, we share the Rundfunkbeitrag (18.36€ for the entire flat, so 9.18€ per person).
Technically, it's a sublet because our "landlord" (who doesn't live here himself) is the main tenant. Something which is very important to him is that there is no smoking and no drugs apart from alcohol on the premises.
Possibly, I can't do the viewings in person. In this case, my current flatmate could give you a tour, and if you like it, we can have a call to check that our vibe matches - I'm looking forward to hearing from you :)
