The Area:

The apartment is in a top location in one of Neukoellns hip & most desirable areas - the Schillerkiez. Cobbled and leafy streets centered around a local church give this area a quiet residential feel. Since the closing of historic Berlin Tempelhof airport in 2008, the area has enjoyed an influx of families and young creative types from all over the world. More bars, cafes, galleries and shops are sprouting up weekly and the atmosphere on the streets is relaxed and multi-cultural. On your door step you will find a weekly organic food market with the large Oriental Market by beautiful Landwehr canal only a quick 5 min tube ride away. Plenty of flea markets in the area too. The airport has been turned into Europe's largest urban park and is an example of great multi space planning.
