My flat is located in the center of Kreuzkölln, the area between Kreuzberg and Neukölln. It's a well-equipped beautiful 40qm-flat with wooden floor, high ceilings and the charm of Berlin's old buildings. There is a big 1,40m bed, a couch, a workdesk and of course my stereo equipment. Whatever you feel like its free to use.
I love to cook, so that my kitchen is the center of my home. You can find lots of beautiful individual tableware and wide range of cooking equipment. There is a gas stove and an electric oven. Best combination! On my old wooden table you can place six guest. There is no big building in front of the windows, so you get a lot of light.
My cosy bathroom is lovely. It has a pleasant shower to wake you up, a hair dryer and a big mirror.
There is a washing mashine as well. It's a non-smoking flat. Only 30 seconds to reach the ground floor!
Kreuzkölln is a hip, colorful and young neighborhood. There are lots of small and individual bars, cafés and good diverse restaurants everywhere. You can find vintage stores, record shops and book places. Just walk around the small cobbled streets and get lost. On Tuesdays and Fridays there is a weekly market just along Maybachufer and also a fleamarket every other week. All within walking distance.
There are plenty supermarkets around and of course lots of Spätis for late night shopping. Hasenheide, Görlitzer Park and Treptower Park are close and worth it to visite!
There is a good public transport connection. On Kottbusser Damm you can find the U8 which brings you to Tempelhofer Feld (the large closed airport area which turned into a park now), to Mitte (with the Museum Island and lots of cafés and shopping places) and also to Wedding (a neighborhood with art scene and Volkspark Humboldthain for a view above the city). Two minutes more you reach Hermannplatz and U7 which brings you to the west and other stations where you can change for other lines. It's a fast and comfortable way of transport. In my neighborhood there are lots of shops that rent bikes. In my opinion still the best way to discover the city:)
If you are interested, write me a short text about you and your stay and I will respond as soon as I can.
Looking forward!
Linda
