I'm leaving Berlin to return to England to finish my degree. As a result, I need to find someone to take over my flat. Please be aware that, in order to be a tenant here, you must be a student or, in some cases, an intern. If you are neither studying nor interning, then the Verwaltung will not accept your request to rent the apartment.
The apartment itself is perfectly sized for a student or intern searching for a studio: 27m2, including a balcony. Basic features include: a private kitchenette; an ensuite bathroom and shower room; underfloor heating; two large windows that let in lots of light; and, of course, WiFi.
The apartment is in a very modern, attractive, private student accommodation block. As well as the features of the apartment written above, the building itself also contains the following: laundry room (washing machines and dryers); underground carpark; secure bicycle storage in the basement; safe and secure storage lockers (one for each tenant) for other belongings in the basement; and waste disposal.
With regard to furniture and other necessities, the apartments originally come unfurnished, but I'm happy to negotiate a price for the things that I will not be able to take back to England. These things include: double bed; sofa that turns into a bed (useful for guests); desk; two desk chairs; an armchair; a large wardrobe; a bookshelf. I'm also more than happy to sell things like pots and pans and other cooking instruments.
The flat is located 5 minutes away from Alexanderplatz. The area is central, quiet, and very well connected to the rest of the city.
Nearby transport links include: Bahnhof Alexanderplatz (S-bahn and Regionalverkehr); U-bahn (U2, U5, U8); trams (M8, M6, M10); buses (100, 200, TXL, amongst others); and there is a taxi rank by the train station. You can be anywhere in Berlin within 30 minutes. Another useful feature is the night bus - one will always be going to Alexanderplatz, no matter where you are in the city.
The city-centre is only a 25 minute walk away, and areas like Hackescher Markt and Museumsinself are very close.
Concerning supermarkets, there is a Netto just downstairs, and Edeka and Kaufland (!) are less than a 10 minute walk away. There is, of course, also a Späti open 24/7, which is useful on Sundays when you've forgotten to buy something.
You must be a student or an intern!
