I am leaving my spacious room (approximately 25 m²) that faces a common balcony. The room will have the basic furniture if you would like to. The shared flat (170 m²) is located directly at the S-Bahn Sonnenallee, Siegfried-Aufhäuser-Platz. It comprises 5 rooms (one for each flatmate), a bathroom, a kitchen, a common living room, and two balconies. We moved into this flat at the beginning of February and decorated and furnished it together with love, from the kitchen to all the shared spaces. There are still some small projects ongoing, so you can add your personal touch to the design of the flat.
This flat is perfect, and I am extremely sad to move out. Unfortunately, due to issues with my PhD working contract, I decided to continue my life elsewhere.
The apartment is probably in one of the best locations in Berlin. There’s a direct connection to the Ring (you literally step out of the front door into the S-Bahn station Sonnenallee), and around the corner is the beautiful Rixdorf-Kiez with its charming corners like Böhmischer Platz, where it feels like you're in a small village. Right in the heart of Neukölln, it’s a vibrant and convenient area.

A little about my flatmates:
Theo, Jonathan, and Julius are friends who have known each other for some time and decided to start this WG. They are studying renewable energies (Theo & Julius), or have already graduated (Jonathan). Magdalena and I joined them later; she is an adult psychiatrist. I felt at home from the first moment. We have great communication and created a safe place to discuss cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, and other communal activities. We have a monthly meeting to improve our life together, discussing any issues that arise. We try to buy groceries and eat together (vegetarian, vegan) to create a more familiar environment after work.
Socializing is really important. We like to cook together, chat, and have a beer or cup of tea. Our conversations range from light gossip to serious discussions about global and socio-political issues. Everyone can feel at home with us. While we prefer vegetarian/vegan food, it's not a strict requirement. We value openness, honesty, and familiarity, and expect these values from you too. We are active people who enjoy concerts, jazz bars, open-air events, festivals, and hanging out in local cafés and bars. We particularly enjoy outdoor activities like multi-day hikes and cycling trips. Nevertheless, we all need time for ourselves to reflect and recharge. We strive for a peaceful everyday life in the flat, making it a place of retreat and well-being for all of us.
