PhD student looking for accomodation in Halle

My name is Pablo Castro Sánchez-Bermejo, and I am a Spanish biologist currently based in Madrid. However, I was quite lucky and I recently got selected for a PhD in Plant Ecology at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. That is why, by August, I will be starting my great adventure of living in Halle.

But first of all, I would like to talk a little bit about myself so you can get to know me briefly. Apart from this minute part of my life which involves science, I really want to tell you about my hobbies. So, you may be asking yourselves "Oh, do you have hobbies?" and the answer is YES, I have plenty of them! So let's start with sports. Just mentioning that I have been swimming since I was a child, and even though I have been climbing for a long time, I recently became more involved into bouldering. Apart from these sports I also love other outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountaineering or trail running. Nevertheless, even though it seems that all my hobbies imply movement, I also have other more "static" hobbies. Drawing and Illustration are things I truly enjoy, and could spend hours performing strokes in a paper. Also, I can spend countless hours playing the guitar, but actually I'm not planning to bring any instrument to Halle.

Also, you may be asking yourselves how I am in my daily life. Well, I am a quite sociable and cheerful person which really appreciates the power of a beer and a good conversation, especially in the evening after a busy day. Also, I am organized and tidy, and even though my skills in the kitchen are something I can improve and my Spanish "Tortilla" is not the best in the world yet, I recently started to find cooking as a truly interesting activity in which I want to improve.

In Halle, I am looking for a place which allows me to move easily thriugh the city. A place close to the university is something I really consider. Apart from that, I found a good kitchen and a balcony very valuable.
