Hi,
I am moving to Amsterdam in May and am searching for somebody to take over my rent from the 1st June (I am flexible and could potentially move up to 1 week before). I already spoke with my landlady and she agreed to it.
My apartment is very charming, fully furnished (yes, you can move in with your clothes and personal belongings. It has everything you will need!)
It has 22 sqm (studio), has a sofabed (160x200), a table with 3 chairs, a niche kitchen (is completely new, was installed on February 2018) with refrigerator, stove, oven (to be paid separately), microwave (to be paid separately), an Ikea Kallax shelving unit (space for your books, documents, and I use it even as my pantry), a very big wardrobe in the hallway (LxH 200x 230cm - where you can store clothes, shoes, sheets and towels, your luggage, cleaning material, etc.), has a small niche Garderobe next to the door, where you can store your coats, umbrella, etc. The bathroom, although small, has enough storage space for your belongings (believe me, I have a lot of shampoos, makeup and hair products!).
You will find everything you need in the apartment: the windows have blinds, the kitchen has all the tableware, pots&pans, glassware, etc. I am leaving towels & sheets and even some cleaning products, toilet paper, etc. As I mentioned, you are really set up to just start your new adventure. And please, take good care of my orchids. They suffered during winter, but they survived and are flowering again! =)
Ohh... Did I mention you even have the smallest and cutest balcony (it has less than 1 sqm, it is a beautiful place for your own herb garden... The house also has a garden/backyard, which you can freely use.
I am not the best with geography, but I can assure you it will be sunny the whole day.
I won't be exaggerating if I say Türkenstr is the best street to live in Munich.
It is mega central, you have the LMU and the TU within walking distance, some of the best restaurants, clubs and bars in town and at least 5 different supermarkets (you have an Edeka almost across the street).
The bus stop (lines 153 and 154) is literally on the corner (less than 3 minutes walk), you have options to take the U3/U6 from the Uni (5-7 minutes walk, direct line to Marienplatz) and the U2/U8 from Josephsplatz (12-14 minutes walk or take the bus 5 minutes). You also have an MVG Rad stop on the corner.
Englischer Garten is also within 10 minutes walking distance, nice place to enjoy a sunny day, have your morning/evening jogging or just cycle around.
You can also walk to Marienplatz, it will take you around 20 minutes. Münchner Freiheit is also easily accessible by foot, bike or Ubahn.
And although the street is super busy, you can't hear a sound from the apartment, since it is located in the rear of the building and in middle of a treed oasis. i.e. neighbours won't be spying you, because you are protected by trees everywhere.
My landlady is mega friendly, super helpful and always available.
