PhD student looking for apartment

Hi, ich bin ein angehender PhD Student aus der Pfalz. Bis vor kurzem habe ich in Heidelberg Biochemie studiert, um nach einem Forschungsaufenthalt in den USA jetzt am MPI für Biochemie meinen Doktor zu machen. Ich suche vor allem nach einer gut ausgestatten und vor allem ruhigen 1(+)-Zimmer Wohnung in kürzester Nähe zum MPIB.
Ich würde mich vor allem als humorvollen, entspannten Typen bezeichnen, der die meiste Zeit allerdings im Labor verbringen wird, und vor allem eine Bleibe zum Schlafen sucht. Auch wenn ich Kochen ziemlich nice finde, bin ich eigentlich ein Mensa Mensch, allerdings auch ein großer Fan davon, casual mit Freunden anspruchsvolle Dinge zu kochen.

Hi, I'm a PhD candidate from the Palatinate, Germany. I just finished studying biochemistry in Heidelberg, before traveling to the US for a research stay. After coming back recently, I will now start my PhD at the MPI for Biochemistry. I'm mainly looking for a quiet 1(+) room apartment coming with the most common amenities and in close (ideally walking) distance to the MPIB.
People would probably describe me as humorous and easygoing, but I will stay in the lab anyway most of the time, coming home primarily to get my well-deserved 8 hours of sleep. As cooking seems to be a selling point here, I have to admit that, except for casually cooking fancy dishes with friends, I will most likely visit the mensa on a regular basis.
