The room is approximately 13m² and is located in the student dormitory at Allmandring 1. It is small and minimally furnished, but cozy and situated in a quieter corner with a view of the street. The amenities include a bed, a desk with a chair, a shelf, a water tap, and a walk-in closet/storage room. There are no blinds, but there are fairly light-tight curtains.
Toilets and showers are shared, with 2 on each floor - yours are on the first floor. The kitchen is also shared, and every few weeks, there's a kitchen duty (taking out the trash etc.).
The property is located right on the Vaihingen campus - within 5 minutes, you can reach the university campus, and it's about the same distance to the HdM. The S-Bahn station 'Universität' is also in close proximity, approximately 8 minute walk away. From there, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) and roughly 10 minutes to get to the city center.
€357 is the total rent, inclusive of water, heating, and other utilities! For internet access, a separate registration through Selfnet is required (for more information: https://www.selfnet.de/support/faq.html). This incurs an additional cost of €9.50 per month.
A deposit of €400 is also required.
Moving in from an earlier date is also possible!
Please note that only students from one of Stuttgart's (or nearby) universities are eligible to move into the apartment. For more detailed information, refer to the housing department's FAQ (including general information): (https://www.woref-stuttgart.de/woref_files/FAQ_FM_en.pdf)
Subletting is possible until March 31st, and if you wish to extend, you can inquire with the VSSW Hausmeisterbüro. The subletting process is managed by the housing department.
It's preferable to contact me here. I will then guide you through the process.
