WG Zimmer zur geteilten Miete am Südfriedhof

Die Wohnung liegt mitten im und am Südfriedhof. Durch diesen und die ebenso nahe gelegenen Moorteichwiesen hat man schöne und große Grünflächen direkt in der Nähe – auch der Schützenpark ist nicht weit weg. Einkaufen kann man ebenfalls direkt nebenan, da Lidl und Rewe in 2 Minuten fußläufig erreichbar sind. Eine Bushaltestelle, (Linie 81,51,52) ist auch fast genau vor der Tür und für weitere Reisen kann man auch den Hauptbahnhof in 10 Minuten erlaufen. Die Uni ist in 15 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen oder jede viertel Stunde mit der 81.
Alles wichtige ist wirklich direkt in der Nähe –der Südfriedhof liegt super zentral und ist doch verhältnismäßig ruhig.

The apartment is located right in and around the Südfriedhof area. Thanks to this and the nearby Moorteichwiesen, there are beautiful and spacious green areas close by — and the Schützenpark isn’t far either. You can also shop just next door, as Lidl and Rewe are both within a 2-minute walking distance. A bus stop (lines 81, 51, 52) is almost directly in front of the building, and for longer trips, the main train station is just a 10-minute walk away. The university can be reached in 15 minutes by bike or every 15 minutes via bus line 81.

Everything important is really close by — Südfriedhof is very centrally located, yet still relatively quiet.

Da zum 31.07. noch eine Mitbewohnerin auszieht, besteht unsere internationale und gemischte WG aktuella aus folgendem Team:
- Joëlle (she/her) kommt aus Canada, genaugenommen aus Quebec und spricht deshalb Französisch und Englisch und mittlerweile auch fließend Deutsch, auch wenn man es selten aus ihr herauskitzelt. Seit einem Jahr hat sie ihr Studium beendet und ist ganz erwachsen jetzt am Arbeiten. Das aber nur vier Tage die Woche, weshalb immer noch genug Zeit für Zuhause und alle Gemütlichkeiten die damit einhergehen bleibt.
- Shawon (he/him) kommt aus Bangladesch und spricht neben Bengali mit uns vor allem Englisch. Shawon macht gerade seinen Master in Economics und ist trotzdem fleißig am nebenjobben, wenn er nicht gerade bengalische Köstlichkeiten zubereitet, an denen wir uns alle erfreuen dürfen. Mit Shawon kann man sowohl den größten Schwachsinn erfinden, als auch die tiefgründigsten Gespräche über Gott und die Welt führen – manchmal weiß man selber nicht, welches von beidem gerade passiert :D
- Ami (she/her) ist Deutsche und ist unser jüngstes WG-Mitglied (und mit ihr würdest du das Zimmer teilen :) – seit vier Monaten ist sie nun Teil der Crew und Teil des Schiffs. Ami hat Agrarwissenschaften studiert und ist gerade auf der Suche nach dem passenden Arbeitsort, an dem sie sich mit ihrer Naturliebe ausleben kann. Nebenbei macht Sie tausend Sachen bei denen man sich oft fragt, wie sie das alles unter einen Hut bekommt. Wenn sie nicht gerade sportet oder draußen die Welt erkundet, organisiert sie Festivals oder backt die köstlichsten Kuchen (von denen glücklicherweise auch mal was abfällt).

Miteinander sprechen wir hauptsächlich auf Englisch, damit alle alles verstehen können. Wir verstehen uns als gemeinschaftliche WG, die nicht nur nebeneinander her, sondern miteinander wohnen will. Zusammen kochen, essen, spielen, Unsinn machen – all das macht uns aus. Und das nicht nur innerhalb unserer WG, sondern auch mit den anderen Hausbewohner:innen. Natürlich gehört zum Zusammenleben auch, dazu das man mal seine Ruhe haben möchte und das auch bei den anderen respektiert. Abgesehen davon sind wir alle gesellig und immer für n Schnack zu haben. Zusammenfassend kann man also sagen wir sind eher Freund:innen als nur Mitbewohner:innen.

Wir freuen uns also über eine Person, die auch in dieses Bild passt und Lust hat unsere kleine Gang zu erweitern. Dabei ist uns Diversität auf allen Leveln wichtig und deshalb lehnen wir jegliche Form von Diskriminierung ab. Du musst dich nicht unbedingt als politische Person verstehen, aber für uns ist Solidarität kein Politikum sondern ein Selbstverständnis.

As another flatmate is moving out on 31 July, our international and mixed flat share currently consists of the following team:
- Joëlle (she/her) comes from Canada, from Quebec to be precise, and therefore speaks French and English and now also fluent German, even if you rarely get it out of her. She finished her studies a year ago and is now working all grown up. But only four days a week, which still leaves enough time for home and all the cosiness that goes with it.
- Shawon (he/him) comes from Bangladesh and speaks Bengali and mainly English with us. Shawon is currently doing his Master's in Economics and is still busy working part-time when he's not preparing Bengali delicacies for us all to enjoy. With Shawon you can make up the biggest nonsense as well as have the most profound conversations about God and the world - sometimes you don't even know which of the two is happening :D
- Ami (she/her) is German and is our youngest flatmate (and you would share a room with her :) - she has been part of the crew and part of the ship for four months now. Ami studied agricultural sciences and is currently looking for a suitable place to work where she can live out her love of nature. On the side, she does a thousand things that often make you wonder how she manages to juggle it all. When she's not playing sports or out exploring the world, she's organising festivals or baking the most delicious cakes (of which, fortunately, there are some leftovers).

We mainly speak to each other in English so that everyone can understand everything. We see ourselves as a communal flat share that doesn't just want to live next door to each other, but together. Cooking together, eating together, playing together, getting up to mischief - that's what we're all about. And not just within our flat share, but also with the other residents. Of course, living together also means wanting to have some peace and quiet and respecting the others. Apart from that, we're all sociable and always up for a chat. To summarise, you could say we're more like friends than just flatmates.

So we'd love to meet someone who fits this mould and wants to join our little gang. Diversity at all levels is important to us, which is why we reject any form of discrimination. You don't necessarily have to see yourself as a political person, but for us solidarity is not a political issue but a matter of course.
