Das Viertel ist von grüner Natur geprägt und die direkte Nähe zur Wakenitz sowie dem Wald ermöglichen angenehme Routen zum Spazieren oder Joggen. Die nächsten Einkaufmöglichkeiten sind einerseits ein REWE (ca. 9min Fußweg) und EDEKA, Lidl sowie Aldi an der Stadtweide (ca. 15min Fußweg).
Mit dem Rad kann man mit Leichtigkeit zu jeglichen Zielen kommen; die Radwege sind gut ausgebaut.
