Mature American couple need Erlangen apt/house

We are a mature American couple that will be living in Erlangen for three years. I have been offered a position at Freidrich-Alexander University as a Research Associate, so will be receiving regular salary. We are ages 41 and 50. We do not smoke, and we have no children or pets. We do love animals if you need a pet sitter. We are very clean, and we respect our surroundings. We have excellent credit scores. Our hope is to get a place near the university, but we will also commute within a reasonable distance.
