Dear Ms/Mr, my name is Farah B. and I am 24 years old. I come from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina where I have graduated in 2019 at the University of Sarajevo in the field of Experimental Physics. I was a d m i s s i o n e d at R W T H Aachen University and currently I am in the process of enrollment and getting student visa. Since my interest in this field lies in Quantum Mechanics, Condensed Matter Physics and Physics of Materials, applying to this world-renowned university was completely natural step for me.
Concerning my personality, I wouldn't say for myself that I am particularly extrovert person, but rather quiet and very serious when it comes to my responsibilities in my profession. Fortunately, that does not stop me from spending time with my friends, and while in Aachen, it would be great if I was friends with my roommate(s). I also tend to have long-run friendships and to connect with various personalities. This experience in Aachen does not only mean educational opportunity (even though this aspect is of great importance to me), but also creating new friendships and integration into completely different culture. :)
You might find that I am that kind of person who can always be seen with some book. Besides the professional literature that I frequently read, I am also an avid reader of Russian realism, W e i m a r classicism or Regency- and Victorian-era British literature. Also, I am interested very much in art, especially impressionism and Post impressionism. I also play piano, like to go cycling, swimming and gardening.
Concerning the current phase in which I am when it comes sorting out my trip to Aachen, I assume that I will be ready to move in with the beginning of September, but I can also easily bend my schedule with respect of requirements of my landlord/roommate(s).
