The apartment is spread over two floors. Your room is on the lower floor. It is nice, bright and large and quiet despite the city center location, because we have new, properly sealing windows. Basti who moves out for his Erasmus semester would like to keep all or at least some of his furniture in the room but if you'd like to use your own we can also arrange a solution for that.
On this floor is also Priscila’s room, the bathroom, kitchen, living room and bar room (usually a small chill room where you can smoke but often a guest room for our friends/family). Between the two floors is the toilet. On the upper floor are the bedrooms of Selma and Kathi.
The apartment is located directly at Sternplatz, so to speak at Bayreuth's Shibuya Crossing. From here you are directly in the city center and can find various shopping facilities for all needs (Netto, dm, Müller, etc.) and cafes, restaurants and pubs. The university is about 10 minutes away by bike, 20-25 minutes on foot. The main train station and the ZOB can be reached in 15 minutes on foot, the Hofgarten in 5 minutes.
When the weather is good, there is a lot of activity on the street and it’s always nice to people-watch from your window.
Your flatmates are Priscila, Selma and Kathi. All of us are studying (and some also working): Kathi does (under)paid carework at a nursing home (but decided to quit now) and studies plants and people in her master’s, Selma is also in her master's doing science and selling strollers, Priscila is always down for a good salsa evening at the Glashaus and besides that is interested in ecological issues (which is also a part of her master's programme).
As a WG we appreciate open communication and consider ourselves family. We regard ourselves as politically involved and aware persons and like to discuss all kinds of things with each other and would like to learn new things from you. In the evenings we often have (vegan) dinner together and currently do a little cooking plan where every person cooks dinner once a week.
As you can see, we enjoy sharing our flat-lives with each other, but of course we all have the need for some alone time every now and then.
We share all food (but also have things for ourselves) and have a cleaning plan.
In general, nothing is set in stone and we're open to new ideas.
Selma, Priscila and Kathi speak Spanish and English, with different levels of German. Most of the time we talk in English so it is important that you speak either English or Spanish.
We are looking forward to meeting you, preferably live (but can also arrange video calls)
😊
