I LIKE MY NEIGHBOURS AND THE GREEN, URBAN NEIGHBOURHOOD
– Despite a vivid urban life on street level you can sleep with windows open if you like due to a quite surrounding. Neighbours also seem to appreciate this ... and benefit most of the time from a mutual understanding of what might be appropriate in terms of individual sound and other emissions.

SHOPPING
– Shops and supermarkets (inkluding British, Russian, Asian and Polish foodstores), bars, restaurants, fleemarkets, antique shops, banks/atm, pharmacies ... everything within 5min walking distance.

EATING AND DRINKING OUT
Foodies, hobby chefs, restaurant and bar goers can expect a neighbourhood where you can taste the best German brews on the market, find a huge up-market deli / restaurant for common people (that remains unknown to most Berlin visitors), the best eating-out venues for regional cusine, ambitious gourmet dining, the only recommendable take-away if you like Vietnamese noodle soop or the hangout for Thai and Vietnamese street food afficionados

LEISURE AND SPORT ACTIVITIES
The perfect address for outdoor people, joggers, ice skating, hockey players – for they can chose between two city parks where you can leave all the city stress behind ...

Not exactly the perfect spot for party people.

If it was in my hands, I wished for a smart, life experienced flatmate with appreciation rather than objections to a neat and tidy kitchen and bathroom (not negotiable ;), neither a maverick nor the type who cannot be on his own ...

On a personal level the perfect match is a self-reflected, educated woman or man (I am not referring to university degrees) with communicative and social skills, a liberal mindset and advanced sense of humour – one who likes his job (which I would define as providing more pros than cons) or builds self-esteem from other sources.

I would be happy to share cooking or a glass of wine once in a while, have a chat, being helpful in many areas. I like jogging, riding my bicycle (not only during summer), am a sports fan (yes, football too), having interests on many beats: film, theatre, live-music, museums, and what nightlife has to offer. I have wide ranging music preferences (Bach, Beatles, Balkan-Pop, Iggy Pop, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, current rock and pop, Berlin Philharmonics) and a list of authors from which I read everything.

In a nutshell: urban hedonism, mutual appreciation and occasional inspiration helps to get along.
